The War First Move.

After destroying this Avatar, Justinian felt The Omega Effect he plundered be devoured by his, Ddraig's, and Albion's souls. To them, the Omega Effect was like a delicious feast as it was potent and just perfect for them.

As for the Paradooms that lost their Master, Justinian glanced at them and they were instantly obliterated to dust. Of course, he kept one alive which he restrained.

He walked toward the creature and he teleported it into his laboratory. He would extract the Doomsday DNA in the Paradoom and use it for his own clones.

At times like this, he questions why he had never run into Doomsday himself. It was a waste, but chances were that he simply prevented its creation with his arrival. He reached down and grabbed his spear before he placed it on his back.

"This was worth the time. I got an idea of how Darkseid thinks and he might be a bigger challenge. His work on the Paradooms alone is impressive and I will use his research for myself. However, I do hope he takes my advice and branches out from that. Otherwise, there won't be enough loot."

Sigismund raised an eyebrow behind his helmet. With a thought, his helmet exposed his face as he walked toward Justinian.

"Not to question your logic, but Darkseid is not a weak foe. He exists outside of the multiverse as you say, but is unable to affect it directly. He is bound by the strength of his Avatars, but what if he manages to create a vessel that can properly contain more of his power."

Justinian shook his head as he walked toward his companions. He was about to speak, but Leginstrasse spoke up for him.

"Father, may I explain?"

He smiled as he nodded.

"Of course, go ahead."

She smirked as she turned to Sigismund.

"What my Father means is that is exactly what he wants. Once Darkseid forms a vessel that can contain more of his power, he will kill it and plunder even more power from him. Did I get that right Father?"

Justinian nodded.

"Right, you are. Directly killing or defeating Darkseid's true form is not something I will be able to do yet. His Avatars are of no consequence to me and I can kill and consume them with ease. However, the amount of the Omega Effect I can take is limited. As such, I am hoping to push Darkseid into creating a truly powerful Vessel that can contain a piece of his true self."

Justinian snapped his fingers and teleported everyone back to his throne room. Once they were back on Mars, Justinian walked toward his Throne which he sat down on. When he did so, the link he shared with Erda and the Yggdrasil strengthened as his Aether flowed through this connection.

As he settled down on his throne, his guards began to gather around him with his Predakons beginning to lounge around his throne.

"Erda."

When he spoke her name, Erda formed her Avatar in front of his throne. It had taken her a few days, but she had finally adapted fully to the power of Aether flowing through her. Her form overall didn't look much different, the glow in her eyes had changed from a bright gold to a dark purple.

She placed a hand over her ample chest before she gave a bow.

"How may I serve you?"

Justinian smiled as he gazed at her. Mars was the only planet he had intentionally cultivated to have its own soul and it had served him so well. She was without a doubt the strongest of his servants that was not in his Honor Guard.

"Erda, it does me well to see you adapting to the Aether so well. How do you feel?"

She stopped bowing before she began to explain it.

"The sheer power of it is extraordinary. Aether is flowing through the leylines of my body and Terra. My soul is growing stronger and my abillities are growing. It's a blessing like no other."

Justinian was pleased to hear that she was taking it well. Since Mars was her body, hearing that his Aether was nurturing the planet and her soul in the core, he could expect the planet itself to evolve in time.

"Excellent, I am glad to hear. I have several questions I would like to ask. How have the Asgardians settled in?"

Erda smiled as that had been a tale and a half.

"I sent Hela over since she wanted to reanimate her Berserkers and her mount Fenris. Since her power is now drawn from me and you, she received a massive power enhancement.

She is serving since that is all she can do otherwise she will lose all her power. She, alongside our forces, marched into Asgard to bring order to the Asgardians. Many tried to resist, but I quickly subdued them.

Hela quickly brought them to heel, but they were not happy. Our forces are inside the Asgard which is like a new continent in size. It's manageable and the geneticists are greatly interested in the blood of the Asgardians."

Justinian hadn't experimented with the Asgardian's DNA just yet because while they were leagues stronger than a baseline human, they fell short behind his Psian Jackels. The Jackels were created from the DNA of Death Stroke, Ra's Al Ghul and Kryptonian DNA.

However, that did not make them worthless as they merely needed to be evolved. Once he finished the war with Apokolips, he planned on using his biomancy to improve the power of the Asgardians.

"Good to know, how have the Queen and Prince been taking this?"

Erda focused on Frigga and Loki who were currently on house arrest. She didn't even need to use her psychic abillities to understand that Frigga was angry, hurt, and grieving. Even Loki was in mourning for the death of what he thought was his biological Father and Brother.

"Not good. Frigga, the former Queen will never be loyal to you for murdering her husband and son. It is for the best you don't tell her what you did to them."

That was the truth as Odin and Thor had been broken down to pure biological material along with their souls as part of Justinian's new bloodline.

"That is for the best. Erda, I want you to continue to monitor the Asgardians, especially Frigga and Loki. I will want to speak to them soon, right now I am letting them settle in. Tell my forces and Hela to help in this, the Asgardians will be useful in my army in the future."

She nodded.

"Understood, I will continue to keep an eye on them."

With that, she undid her Avatar and returned to her planet state. When she was gone, Justinian leaned back onto his Throne. He had so many things he could be doing right now, that he was simply not interested.

He reached out next to his throne where Predaking, one of his Predakons was curled up. The dragon closed his eyes as Justinian began to run his armored hand down the dragon's robotic skull.

"Shockwave, inform the Legion Masters of the Crusading Fleets to prepare to be called back to Mars. We will move to Apokolips in one month. I want to see what Darkseid will prepare to throw at me."

As his A.I compansion did this, he closed his eyes and began to further analyze through the different realities he could travel to. Of course, he searched for Dragon Deus, better known as High School DxD.

As a result of his state of being, he wasn't interested in that world's women. Instead, he was interested in the genetic materials of the races from that world. There was also the Sacred Gears, but for the most part, it was also just a curiosity he had.

When he found it, he opened his eyes and memorized the coordinates. He, Ddraig, and Albion were going to go there as it was the former home of his brothers. They probably had some unfinished business they wanted to deal with.

He had a few things he wanted to do there, but otherwise, it was just going to be a side quest. Instead, of spending time in another reality he had to focus here.

'Running an Empire is hard work.'

---

A few days after Justinian had his regicide game with Darkseid, he retreated to his laboratory. This time he was alone except for the company of Ddraig and Albion as he was going to analyze the Paradoom he captured.

The creature was restrained onto a table by Soundwave and was being kept unconscious through Erda's power. She formed her Avatar in Justinian's lab which was one of his favorite places to be.

The things he could create always filled with him wonder which is why he continued his hobby. Erda crossed her arms as she looked at the Doomsday-looking Parademon.

"So, what are you going to do with that?"

Justinian glanced over at her before he walked toward the Paradoom.

"This."

He raised his hand and with a thought, his Biomancy and Reality Warping in unison descended onto the Paradoom. In moments, the creature was reduced to bubbling biomass which then liquified into just the Doomsday DNA.

He got rid of the original genetic material of the Parademon as the Doomsday DNA was the only thing that he was after. Justinian reached down and he modified the Doomsday DNA through Biomancy and Reality Warping to purify it.

The former Paradoom was now reduced to just a vial of the pure DNA of Doomsday which Justinian raised in the air. He watched as the vial of the Doomsday Virus bubbled and writhed.

Ddraig crossed his arms as he gazed at the vial with interest.

"The Devastator's Doomsday Virus?"

Justinian nodded.

"Correct, with this, instant and permanent adaptation to any foe."

Albion squinted his eyes as he looked at the vial in Justinian's hand.

"Is it safe?"

Justinian shook his head as this was not safe at all as it currently was.

"Not at all, however it will be."

With a thought, a drop of his blood emerged from his body, and the potent crimson-black blood surged with powerful Aether and the bloodline abilities of many species. Even the Elixer Of Immortality flowed through his bloodstream as a result of the Philosopher Stones fused with his heart.

He then merged this drop of his blood with the Doomsday Virus which caused a reaction instantly. His blood, which was made just for him began to fight and assimilate the powers of the Doomsday Virus.

The Virus began adapting to Justinian's blood to prevent being assimilated, but the Laws of Domination and Supremacy flowed through Justinian's entire being. Even in blood which caused the Doomsday Virus to begin being assimilated.

To speed up the process, Justinian began to surge his Aether into a vial along with his Biomancy and Reality Warping. Under his gaze, the Doomsday Virus and its abillities. His bloodline had consumed the adaptive power of Doomsday which was a powerful adaptive Kryptonian.

As he gazed at the blood that had defeated the Doomsday Virus, he smiled. He was about to use it, but he and Erda looked at each other. They didn't need to use words since they were both connected to the Yggdrasil Energy Net merged with The Imperium.

They could tell a planetary system was in the process of being attacked by Apokolips. Justinian focused on this system and he saw that thanks to the teleportation gateway system, reinforcements were already being mobilized from multiple locations.

The system defenses were already counter-attacking, but the Paradooms as Justinian knew were not to be underestimated. What killed them now would only improve them as time went on.

"Time to move."

He stabbed the vial into his own neck. He then injected his blood which now contained the Doomsday Virus. This power began to merge with his bloodline which reacted with his Aether, his laws, his Necromdermis, and more.

He closed his eyes as he felt this new adaptive ability flow through him. Once again, he made himself even stronger as what didn't kill him would just make him stronger. In a sense, this was another form of Immortality, adaptation to damage.

"Erda, prepare our counterattack. Soundwave, Nyandra, call back the Crusading Fleets, it is time for Darkseid to learn who he is messing with. Let's see what he has to show me."
