After buying the expensive Hydro blast's Logan did not waste one more second. he directly began walking into the forest behind the Noble's town.
Logan's footsteps echoed through the dense forest as he ventured further away from the safety of the Noble's town. The forest was a wild and untamed place, filled with all sorts of creatures, some of which could prove to be formidable opponents for a Level 2 adventurer like him.
However, Logan's previous life experience and his recently acquired Hydro Blast spell gave him the confidence to navigate these perilous woods.
His agility which was now enhanced with the additional attributes, allowing him to move swiftly and silently through the underbrush. Logan's focus was singular – he had a destination in mind, a place deep within the forest that promised a bountiful harvest of experience points and a treasure chest. It was this goal that propelled him forward, his determination unwavering.
As he walked, Logan couldn't help but notice the various creatures that inhabited the forest. Strange and wondrous beings, some of which he recognized from his gaming days, roamed these woods. He passed by a group of Sprite lings, small, mischievous creatures with pointy ears and sharp teeth, who paid him no mind as they played amongst themselves.
Despite the potential for XP farming, Logan refrained from engaging with these creatures. His sights were set on a bigger prize, one that awaited him deeper in the forest. With each step, he drew closer to his destination, the anticipation building within him.
The forest itself seemed to come alive around him. The sound of rustling leaves, the chirping of birds, and the occasional howl of a distant beast created a symphony of nature. Logan's senses were heightened, and he remained vigilant, ready to respond to any threat that might emerge.
As Logan ventured deeper into the forest, he noticed a significant decrease in the number of players around him. The further he went, the more solitary and secluded the environment became. It was now populated by a different breed of adventurers—those who were deeply committed to leveling up and the wealthy elite who could afford to hire others for farming purposes.
Logan felt a sense of isolation in this remote part of the forest, but he was undeterred. His determination to reach his destination and acquire valuable experience points spurred him on. The path ahead seemed clear, and he moved forward with a sense of purpose.
However, his sense of tranquility was shattered when he heard the unmistakable growls and roars of a group of Leopards. Without pausing to confirm their presence, Logan immediately activated his Angel's Anklet, a piece of equipment that enhanced his agility and reduces gravity affect. With each step, he moved like an astronaut walking on the moon, his movements defying gravity.
Leopards were known for their incredible speed, and while they may have been faster than Logan, he had the advantage of superior agility and the assistance of his Anklet. The AI governing the game world ensured that creatures like Leopards couldn't stray too far from their designated zones.
Logan's heart raced as he put distance between himself and the approaching predators. He knew that venturing too close to the Leopards' territory could spell disaster, and he had no intention of becoming their prey.
Logan's heart raced as he sprinted, the silvery sheen of the Angles Anklet reflecting moonlight with each step he took. He could hear the pounding footfalls of the leopards behind him, their growls echoing through the dense trees, creating a haunting soundtrack to his flight.
Suddenly, up ahead, he spotted a large, ancient-looking tree with twisted roots and a hollow trunk. Not hesitating for a second, Logan veered towards it, his agile form easily sliding into the hollow just as the leopards reached the spot.
The creatures circled the tree, their eyes gleaming with frustration, knowing their prey was just out of reach. Logan could hear their ragged breathing and feel the vibrations of their bodies moving around his hiding spot. He dared not breathe too loudly, clutching the Hydro blast's tightly, ready to defend himself if necessary.
Minutes felt like hours. The leopards, however, knowing they had been outmaneuvered, eventually left in search of easier prey. But Logan didn't move immediately. He waited, relying on his experience to judge the right moment to continue his journey.
When he finally felt it was safe, he emerged from the hollow, taking a deep breath to steady himself. As he stood there, the quiet rustling of the leaves and the distant calls of nocturnal birds were the only sounds around him.
"Those were rare wild Leopards," he muttered to himself, recalling the vibrant patterns on their fur, a clear indicator of their rank. Encountering such creatures this early on was a surprise, but Logan took it as a sign that he was on the right track. The place he was headed to wasn't for the faint-hearted.
After ensuring his Angles Anklet had enough charge for another sprint, he set off again, his objective clearer than ever. The deeper parts of the forest held secrets and treasures that few knew about, and Logan was determined to claim them. And with the experience of his previous life guiding him, the challenges that lay ahead seemed less daunting.
After a long and challenging journey through the forest, Logan finally arrived at the destination he had been striving to reach. Before him stood a colossal mountain, its peak obscured by a dense thicket of trees. It resembled a towering sentinel guarding the secrets of the forest.
To Logan's surprise, he encountered a group of people near the base of the mountain. They were working together with remarkable coordination, their focus centered on gathering herbs from the forest floor. Among them, a young woman who appeared to be in her early twenties took charge, guiding the group with authority.
One of the group members noticed Logan's presence and quickly brought it to the attention of the young woman. "Madam, there's an intruder," he reported, pointing a finger toward Logan.
The young woman, however, remained composed and assessed the situation calmly. After studying Logan's features for a moment, she seemed to come to a decision. "It's all right," she replied to the concerned group member. "He's just one person. Let him harvest. It's quite an accomplishment for someone to make it all the way here alone."
The concerned member of the group continued to express his disbelief, unable to fathom how Logan had managed to reach their remote location unscathed. He reiterated, "Madam, but how did he do it? We lost seventy percent of our members just getting here."
However, the young woman remained firm in her decision. She wasn't interested in Logan's backstory or how he had arrived. She simply wanted her group to focus on their task. "I told you, leave it. We don't need to know his story," she asserted, her tone conveying her determination to maintain order within the group.
Then, with a casual wave of her hand, she addressed Logan directly. "Hey, if you want, you can also harvest these herbs," she offered. "They'll be worth a fortune in the future."
Logan responded with a thumbs-up gesture, acknowledging her offer. He continued on his way, circling around the mountain until he reached a lake situated on the other side.
His primary goal was not herb collection but rather the creatures lurking within the lake, as well as the rare chest that was said to be hidden beneath its depths.
With the assistance of his skills, such as Gale Strike and the Angel's Anklet, he felt confident in his ability to confront and defeat the monsters that resided in the lake.
As Logan approached the serene lake, he noticed a faint shimmer from its depths, hinting at the treasures it held. The water was crystal clear, giving him a decent view of the myriad of colorful fish swimming about. But among them lurked larger, darker shapes. The monsters he had come for.
Logan knew that the lake was home to the Level 5 Sapphire Serpents, creatures known for their razor-sharp teeth and swift, lethal strikes. But these monsters were also known to guard the rare Chest - a treasure said to contain artifacts of silver weaponry.
Taking a deep breath, Logan held the sword, activated the Gale Strike ability. An aura surrounded him, and he felt the power surge through his veins. As he released the gale strike, a sharp energy current flowed into the river and hit serval fishes, Sapphire serpents. Numerous damage numbers appeared inside the lake. Some small level one fishes already got died on the first strike.
The Sapphire Serpents, sensing an intruder, began to converge on him. Their blue scales refracted light, making them appear almost invisible against the water. But Logan was prepared. He unleashed a flurry of strikes, each blow enhanced by the Gale Strike's power, cutting through the serpents with lethal precision.
