Part 14

In this way, Veer and Roshni lived their life until the heart attack accident, and after that, every story behind that pain was revealed before the children. Rajshree asked one day from her father, "Why you can't give her a chance if you have accepted to go along with her? She can take care of you in a better way if you just leave your past story in the past". He just cried because letting go is more difficult than said. It's not that he never tried, but he never liked her mother to let things go. He never liked to see her or talk to her. He just wanted to fulfill his duty. He never gave a second thought about love again. In this long journey, he only learned that people are born to be selfish. Whoever is in a relationship, must have some selfish motive for being together. Another thing he learned, is 'life is about how much you struggle'.

And so he never tried to imagine happiness. His life was like some kind of burden to himself. Earlier, he only drank alcohol once a year or sometimes cigarettes while hiding it from children but now it has become open, and started drinking daily and smoking daily, after some months. Roshini and the children tried to stop him and asked him, why he was doing this. And he just said authoritatively, ' Don't worry, I am fine and I will be fine'.

One day when Veer came back home after smoking and laid on the bed. Everyone knew he had smoked today again. That day Roshini was filled with so much anger that she smoked a whole one-pack. When the whole room was filled with smoke Rajshree noticed the smell first, from where the smoke was coming. She opened the door and looked at her mother, she was disappointed and frustrated with the whole situation, and she yelled, "What are you doing? Are you mad?" And told the father to stop her mother. He was sleeping in the same room. Then Veer got active and stopped her. She also called her elder sister, Karishma, she also gave some lectures to her mother and father. Later on, her father said, you all go and do your study.

As parents, they are given natural authority over children, so they can give advice, orders, etc, easily. But in children's cases, to give advice, orders, etc, to their parents becomes their insult. And many believe that children's advice is childish. In this family, everyone was in some way equal in wisdom but still couldn't solve their parent's problem, and couldn't dilute their suffering. And the parents themselves are too immature to solve it...
