Killian tucks a duvet over the bed. I’m sat on it, well fed and stuffed to the core, about to lay down and sleep. On his bed. After spending my time on a hospital bed, although comfortable, his bed is my new favourite place.
Something about having him near me when I sleep makes me feel protected. Makes me feel safe. I like it. The assurance and warmth it gives me. I love my man.
“Well, this seemed like an eventful night.” I say to him. Every bone in my body is fatigued. I need good rest.
“Mhm. It would’ve been better if we were here hours earlier.” Killian mutters, still setting the duvet all over.
“What? The flight took too long?” I ask, completely puzzled. If anything, would’ve hoped we arrived later so I could get good sleep but that got me a year’s supply of his money on my meals so I’m not complaining. Not having to spend a dime on food means everything. I can finally use my money, well, technically my parent’s, to buy other stuff. Other things I love.
