Arranged marriage
“What!!? No! This can't happen to me, Mother. I won't marry the crown prince. I can't marry a heartless beast, Father”. Xi Xhen shouted, raising up her voice against her parents. Soon, she ran to her room.
Xi Xhen has always wanted to have a free life, whereas she can always do whatever she wants and never be pampered like a spoiled brat.
She even went ahead learning martial arts and arrow shooting. Plus, she was indeed a good fighter, just like her father "General Xi".
Xi Xhen’s father is the current general of the great Empire dynasty, and he holds a great responsibility on his shoulders.
General Xi loved his daughter so well that he wanted the best for her.
Just as the right opportunity came, the Emperor declared that General Xi’s daughter— Xi Xhen, would be the Crown Prince's Princess consort.
General Xi was beaming with joy because of the Emperor's decree. He didn't care whether the crown prince loved his daughter or not…. All he cared for was that his daughter would be in excellent hands. At least when he dies, he will rest assured. But he didn't know that it was the total opposite for Xi Xhen.
Xi Xhen hated this marriage decree to the core. She refused to marry the crown prince, but she had no choice because the decree of an Emperor is never to be turned down.... Never in a million years!
But, Xi Xhen promised herself that she would cause trouble after she got married to the crown prince. Thinking of the damage she'd cause always makes her feel a little pleased and satisfied.
‘Right.... The prince doesn't love me. Well, that might actually be the ticket to my freedom’. Xi Xhen thought to herself as she sat down on her silk mattress.
Her wedding with the crown prince was said to be organised in two days after the decree of the Emperor.
Xi Xhen was never nervous or anything. She was just happy and sad at the same time. The reason she was happy was because she would finally leave her parents’ house. And why she was sad, was because she hated her marriage that was going to happen soon.
From the rumours that she had gathered, it is said that the Crown prince is a ruthless beast and doesn't like any lady, nor even fall in love with one.
"I should be happy at least....". Xi Xhen said to herself with a smile on her face.
"After I marry the crown prince, I never have to worry about him summoning me! He wouldn't even like me! I'm so happy because I might never even get to see his face!!!". Xi Xhen yelled out happily before she rose up from her bed and was jumping so excitedly.
