Breakfast Conversation

Jiang shu come back again as she forgot her keys on table

.....

While Song yu finished breakfast, suddenly Jiang Shu leaned back in her chair, her eyes fixed on Song Yu. "So, Song Yu, now that you're officially my wife, there are a few things we need to discuss."

Song Yu felt a flutter in her chest, wondering what Jiang Shu had in mind.

"First of all, I want you to drop out of college," Jiang Shu said, her voice cold and detached.

Song Yu's eyes widened in shock. "What? Why? I'm almost done with my degree!"

Jiang Shu shrugged. "It's unnecessary. You'll be focusing on your work at SHL from now on. You can't divide your attention between college and the company."

Song Yu felt a surge of anger at Jiang Shu's words. How could she just dictate her life like that?

"But...but I want to finish my course," Song Yu protested.

Jiang Shu's expression turned icy. "I don't pay you to think, Song Yu. I pay you to follow orders. And right now, my order is for you to drop out of college and focus on your work at SHL."

Song Yu felt a chill run down her spine at Jiang Shu's words. She knew she had to play the part of the obedient wife, but it was hard to swallow.

"And remember, our marriage is a secret," Jiang Shu added, her voice dripping with disdain. "No one at SHL can know about it. You'll be working as an ordinary employee, not as my wife."

Song Yu nodded, feeling a sense of resentment towards Jiang Shu. Why did she have to keep their marriage a secret? And why did she have to give up her course?

Song Yu felt a knot in her stomach as she left the breakfast table. She couldn't believe Jiang Shu was forcing her to drop out of college. It was her dream to complete the course and start a career in her own right, not just be a wife and employee.

As she walked to her room, she felt tears pricking at the corners of her eyes. She couldn't let Jiang Shu get the best of her. She needed to find a way to stand up for herself and pursue her own goals.

But for now, she had to play the part of the obedient wife. She took a deep breath and began to get ready for her first day at SHL.

As she arrived at the office, June greeted her warmly and showed her to her new workstation. Song Yu was relieved to see that she would be working alongside other employees, not just stuck in a corner as Jiang Shu's wife.

But as she started to work, she couldn't shake the feeling that Jiang Shu could be watching her moments.

Jiang Shu's assistant, Ms. June, approached Song Yu's desk, her expression professional. "Song Yu, President Jiang requests your presence in her office."

Song Yu's heart skipped a beat. What did Jiang Shu want now?

She saved her work and followed Ms. June to Jiang Shu's office, her mind racing with possibilities.

As she entered the office, Jiang Shu looked up from her desk, her eyes piercing. "Song Yu, I've been reviewing the company's upcoming events, and I need you to attend the charity gala with me this weekend."

Song Yu hesitated, unsure if she was ready for such a high-profile event. But before she could respond, Jiang Shu continued.

"I expect you to dress appropriately and be on your best behavior. We can't afford any mistakes."

Song Yu nodded, feeling a surge of resentment towards Jiang Shu's dictatorial tone. But she knew she had to play along, at least for now.

Song Yu felt a knot in her stomach as she left Jiang Shu's office. She had never been to a high-society event like a charity gala before, and the thought of attending one with Jiang Shu as her "wife" made her anxious.

As she returned to her desk, June noticed her expression and came over to chat. "Hey, what's wrong? You look like you've lost your last friend."

Song Yu sighed and leaned back in her chair. "Jiang Shu wants me to attend a charity gala with her this weekend. I don't know if I can do it."

June raised an eyebrow. "What's the big deal? It's just a party."

Song Yu shook her head. "It's not just a party. It's a high-society event, and I don't know how to navigate that world. Plus, I have to pretend to be Jiang Shu's wife, which just feels so...fake."

June nodded sympathetically. "I get it. But you'll be fine. Just be yourself, and don't let Jiang Shu get to you."

Song Yu smiled weakly. "Easy for you to say. You're not the one who has to deal with her all the time."

June laughed. "True, but I've seen the way she looks at you. She's got a soft spot for you, even if she doesn't want to admit it."

Song Yu raised an eyebrow. "You think so?"

June nodded. "Yeah, I do. And I think you have more power in this situation than you realize."

Song Yu thought about June's words as she left the office that evening. Could it be true that Jiang Shu had a soft spot for her? And what did June mean by "power"?

.....,....

As the day drew to a close, Song Yu's colleagues began to stir, whispering to each other and glancing her way. She wondered what was going on, but before she could ask, li Wei the director of department in which Song yu is working, suddenly stood up and clapped her hands together.

"Okay everyone, let's give our new colleague a warm welcome! Song Yu, come join us!"

The office erupted into cheers and applause as Song Yu's colleagues gathered around her, smiling and congratulating her on her first day. They led her to the conference room, where a beautiful cake and refreshments were laid out.

Song Yu blushed and smiled, feeling grateful for the warm welcome. She had been nervous about fitting in, but now she felt like she was part of the team.

As they celebrated, Song Yu lost track of time, and before she knew it, the clock struck 9:45 PM. She panicked, remembering Jiang Shu's warning: "Don't come home after 10 PM."

She quickly said her goodbyes and rushed out of the office, but as she arrived at the villa, the clock struck 10:05 PM. She hesitated, wondering if she should knock, but before she could decide, the door swung open.

Jiang Shu stood in the entrance, her eyes narrowed. "You're late," she said, her voice cold.

Song Yu took a deep breath and explained, but Jiang Shu cut her off.

"I don't care about your excuses. You're my wife now, and you'll do as I say. Go to bed."

Song Yu felt a surge of resentment, but she knew better than to argue. She nodded and went to her room, feeling trapped and alone.

She took hot bath to control her anger

...,....

Song Yu went to bed, feeling frustrated and trapped. She couldn't believe she had to pretend to be Jiang Shu's wife for a whole week, and then attend the Met Gala with her.

As she lay in bed, she couldn't shake off the feeling of resentment towards Jiang Shu. Why was she being so controlling? And why did she have to pretend to be her wife?

The next morning, Song Yu woke up to find a text from Jiang Shu. "Be ready for a meeting at 10 am. We have a lot to discuss before the Met Gala."

Song Yu sighed, feeling like she was losing her freedom. She got dressed and headed to the meeting room, wondering what Jiang Shu had planned.

As she entered the room, Jiang Shu was already seated, looking elegant and poised. "Ah, Song Yu, good morning. Let's get started."

Song Yu took a seat, feeling like she was in for a long day.

"First of all, we need to discuss the Met Gala. I expect you to be on your best behavior and follow my lead at all times," Jiang Shu said, her voice firm.

Song Yu nodded, feeling like a puppet on strings.

"Secondly, I've arranged for a stylist to come and help you get ready for the event. I want you to look perfect not your childish college clothes and look," Jiang Shu continued.
