I'm going to look for my son.

Luca's P.O.V

"You sure you can drive like this?"

Mr Spade asked for like the fourth time before we came out of the Mansion.

"Yes I can, I reply with a nod."

Once we were both seated in the car. I turned to him.

"Remember this is confidential," I stated sternly, my gaze on him.

He smirked.

"Clearly it is, don't worry kid.. it's between us."

It was comforting that he wasn't going to tell anyone about it, besides I had no option but to trust him.

"Thanks, Mr Spade," I said with a sigh, the fact that I wouldn't have figured out anything if he hadn't been in the picture, kept me grateful

"Just doing my job kid." He said with a soft chuckle.

He hasn't been all that loud like he used to...

By now, he should have been making a huge fuss about how polished my car is, or how the workers were looking elegant...and all that.

I guess he is smart enough to notice I'm troubled inside...

"Where are you alighting?"

I asked as I drove out of the Guan's premises, heading for the highway.

"Uhmm the bus station would be okay."

"The bus station..?" I queried, looking at him as he scrolled through his phone.

"Yeah... Is anything wrong?" He asked, looking at me.

"No.. nothing...I was suggesting I'd drop you at home or something."

I said with a shrug.

Deep down I didn't want to be alone, I was scared of my own emotions.. sooner or later I would have an outburst, as I'm broken already.

And what's keeping me together at the moment. Is Mr Spade's presence.

"Nahh..the bus station is fine."

He said, with a smile as he turned back to his phone.

I sighed, the bus stop was just some meters ahead.

He would be out of the vehicle soon...

After some minutes of silence.

"Are you okay with the pay?" I asked, my eyes fixed on the road.

"Yes, I personally think it's more than enough actually..."

He said a small smile playing on his lips.

"Uhhmm... okay," I said, bringing the car to a halt.

"We're here," I announced.

"Thank you very much, Mr Luca." He said as he came down from the car.

I just gave a weak smile and a nod.

"And also stay strong okay." He said as he turned to face me...

I gave another sad nod because talking at the moment would betray me.

He sighed and waved at me before closing the car door.

My windows were tinted, so my privacy was guaranteed.

I started my car, and slowly drove off...

As tears filled my eyes, my vision became blurry...

I was blinking away the tears as much as I could..but it wasn't helping.

I needed to stop driving, looking around I sighted a small garden-like place, but it was deserted...

Taking a sharp turn, I blindly drove into the place and brought my car to a halt.

I looked around one more time, the place was empty...

I let it all out... The tears kept flowing out without control.

I was crying silently...

I couldn't bring myself to yell, or punch anything...

I placed my head on my wheel, as I let my anguish out...

My lips were quivering as I hugged my body with my arms.

"Why?" I found myself muttering in between wails.

The grief was overwhelming, I thought I'd pass out from the heartache...

I had been in that collapsed position for a long while now.

My sobs were starting to lessen... My head was already aching, and my neck hurt from the position I had been in.

The vibration of my phone got my attention...

Turning slightly to look at the screen, it was my mom... Sorry... Mrs Guan...

I looked at the screen... Blankly...

I can't really process my emotions at the moment...

I let it ring to my voicemail...

But then she called again...

Slowly I pick up on the second ring..

I was quiet... I couldn't bring myself to say anything...

"Luca, are you here?" She asked, I guess she noticed the worrisome silence...

"Mhmm mm," I said, trying not to sound too hoarse.

"Are you okay? we got back.. and I was told you left even before the masseur came..."

She sounded worried, but at the moment I doubt that...

"Did she ever really love us?"

I'm at the point, where I'm questioning everything..

"Hello...."

She said into the phone...

"I'm sure you heard me... Are you alright?..."

No reply...

"Luca, what's wrong?"

No reply.....

"Where are you at the moment?"

No reply.....

Then she kept quiet for a minute...

"Luca is something wrong?"

And that's when I started to sob again...

I glanced at the screen ended the call, and placed the phone on flight mode.

I started to drive... I don't know where I'm headed but I was driving out of the city.

After some hours of driving. I was out of Naples.

And that's when I decided to check for nearby hotels available.

I'll be here, till my head's cleared.

Claire's P.O.V

"Luca was acting weird over the phone."

I said turning to my husband...

"And now I've been calling, his number isn't going through."

I said as I went towards his table.

Mr Guan didn't seem to pay attention to what I said, as he was busy going through some papers on his desk.

"I'm talking to you!" I yelled, hitting the desk.

"And I heard you.." he hissed, giving me a bad glare.

"He is a grown man, Claire... Why do you still worry like he is some little kid."

He added, in annoyance.

"Luca has never ended a call on me," I said with a sigh, as I slumped on the sofa.

Something is amidst, I could feel it.

When we came back from the seminar. The first thing I noticed was that Luca's private car wasn't in the driveway...

At first, I shrugged it off, maybe it was taken to the garage or something.

But on getting to his room, he was nowhere to be found.

After asking some staff around, they mentioned something like he had left the mansion with a man.

But they have no idea who he was, or what he came to do in the mansion.

"You shouldn't stress over a fully grown adult."

Guan's voice interrupted my thoughts.

I rolled my eyes.

"You never really loved them by the way," I said with a hiss.

As I stood up to leave his office.

"The Chaplins sent me the proposal."

He said, making me stop by the door.

I turned to look at him for some minutes.

"You should take care of it... I'm going to look for my son."

I said, as I walked out and slammed the door on his face.
