ODD SENSATION

In the dark of night, a young girl huddled in the shadows, her heart pounding as she watched the shadows play unfolding before her. Her parents were fighting, their voices raised in anger. She could see their shadows moving, their fists flying. And then, suddenly, everything went silent. The girl held her breath, afraid to make a sound, her eyes wide with terror. In the quiet, she could hear the sound of her own heartbeat, loud and fast.

Suddenly, a loud crash broke the silence, and the girl jumped, her heart pounding even faster. A lamp had fallen over, its light casting a glow across the room. The girl could see her parents clearly now, her mother's face streaked with tears, her father's eyes filled with rage.
