CHAPTER SIX
After classes on Saturday, Anna and Ella went to get food from the cafeteria, before going back to their dorm room.
''Bridget's party is this night, are you coming?'' Ella asked Anna as they were walking to their dorm.
''no I don't think so'' Anna answered, are you go9ing? Anna asked her back
''yes, it's going be fun, and there will be lots of guys there, you should come Ella said. You don't have to always be by yourself you should meet more people.
''Nah I'm okay'', Anna said and I have you.
Ok then, Ella said and Anna nodded.
While they were eating Anna phone beeped with a new email notification.
Let me get my phone Anna said as she stood up to pick her phone from her bed.
I was invited for the interview!! Anna screeched happily
Interview for what Ella said as she stood up to join her .
See, I've been invited for an interview at will enterprises, Anna said with excitement in her voice as she showed her friend her phone.
''Seriously? Let me see'' Ella said as she collected the phone from her friend. Wow its true, I knew you were going to get in, congratulations, Ella said happily as she hugged Anna and carried her, turning her around, we should celebrate, Ella told Anna , you're coming with me to the party this night. I'm not taking any excuses from you again Ella said looking at her friend sternly.
No I've said I'm not going, Anna said.
You've nit been attending any social gathering since you broke up with Evans, you should go out meet more people and move on Ella stated we are going to the party together no excuses
Anna nodded, she did not say anything again she knew she couldn't win the argument against her friend okay she said.
''What dress would you wear'' Ella said as she went straight to Anna wardrobe.
''Your wardrobe is boring'' Ella shouted back to Anna who was on the bed already
''But don't worry, I've got options for you in my wardrobe, you have to look hot and sexy for the party''.
''It's okay I can just wear anything from my wardrobe''
''no you're not wearing those nerdy clothes to a birthday party Anna'', Ella said
'' I'm going to dress you for the party, you should look good, who knows you might meet your prince charming this night''.
I'm not meeting any men for now Ella Anna told Ella I'm not interested in men for now.
Ella did not reply as she continued picking clothes for Anna to wear to the party.
Monday morning dawned with anticipation in the air as Anna prepared for her interview at Will enterprises. Despite the nerves that fluttered in her stomach, she couldn't help but feel a flicker of excitement at the prospect of what the day might hold.
Dressed in a tailored black blazer with a hint of subtle pinstripes, its sleek lines accentuating her slender frame. Beneath the blazer she wore a crisp white blouse, its white neckline adding a touch of sophistication to the look. Pairing the blouse and blazer with a pair of tailored trousers, Anna exuded an air of professionalism and competence. The trousers hugged her curves in all right places elongating her legs and adding a sense of elegance to her silhouette. To complete the ensemble, Anna slipped into a pair of classic black heels, their modest height providing both style and comfort for the day ahead. With her hair pulled into a ponytail and minimal makeup accentuating her features, Anna radiated confidence as she prepared to face the interview panel.
She mentally rehearsed her answers to potential questions, determined to make a strong impression. As she arrived at Will enterprises company office building, her heart pounded with a mixture of nerves and excitement. Stepping into the lobby, on the 20th floor, she was greeted by the receptionist with a warm smile and directed to the interview room.
Anna was ushered into a spacious conference room with a stunning city view. A panel of three interviewers awaited her including a man who looked quite familiar but she couldn't quite place.
''good morning Anna'' said Sophia the HR manager smiling warmly.
'' I'm Sophia, the HR manager. This is our CEO, William, and our Marketing director, Tom.
Anna nodded.
''you can have your seat and we can begin the interview''' Sophia said and Anna sat down on the chair Sophia pointed at.
Sophia began the interview, asking Anna about her marketing experiences and skills. Anna answered confidently sharing her ideas and passion for the field.
Will listened intently, his piercing blue eyes never leaving hers. ''tell me, Anna, what do you think sets you apart from the other candidates?'' he asked, his deep voice sending a shiver down her spine.
Anna hesitated for a moment before responding, "I believe my creativity, attention to detail, and ability to think outside the box make me a strong candidate. I'm also a quick learner and thrive under pressure."
James nodded, impressed. "That's great to hear. How do you stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments?"
Anna launched into a discussion about her favorite marketing blogs and podcasts, and the panel listened attentively.
After a few more questions, Sophia smiled and closed the folder in front of her. "Well, Anna, that's all the questions we have for now. Do you have any questions for us?"
Anna asked a few thoughtful questions, and then the interview came to a close.
As she stood up to leave, William extended his hand. "Anna, it was a pleasure meeting you. We'll get back to you soon."
Anna shook his hand, feeling a spark of electricity at the touch. "Thank you, sir. I appreciate the opportunity."
Sophia walked her out of the conference room and into the hallway. "Anna, you did great in there. We'll be calling you soon to let you know our decision."
A few days later, Anna received a phone call from Sophia. "Anna, we're pleased to inform you that you've passed the interview! We'd like to offer you the marketing internship position. Congratulations!"
Anna squealed with excitement, feeling a sense of pride and accomplishment.
As soon as she hung up the phone, Ella noticed her beaming smile.
''what's going on? you look like you just won a lottery''
'''I got the internship!! I'm going to be working at will enterprises!''
Ella shrieked with delight, throwing her arms around Anna. That's amazing girl! I'm so proud of you! you deserve it!.
Anna hugged her back, feeling a sense of gratitude, after all that has happened lately she had something to look up to again and that was her internship, and she is happy and grateful she got the internship.
