Detective Walker

"ma'am can you tell us where you were between the hours of 2am to 5am?" Laura asks while I recorded

"uhh.hhh what's the investigation for?" she asks softly

"this is an investigation into the death of Ambassador Jordan Wensolton Tate the second" Laura replies professionally. "now back to my question"

"I'm sorry what? That's my husband, his death was an accident" she says defensively in her british accent

"the Queen's Coast ship officials have reasons to think otherwise, could you please save our time and just answer the questions" I quickly input

"just let these officials know that this does nothing to change my mind, im still going to sue" she says

"alright Audrey, well give your message to them" Laura says

"now the question please" Laura continues

"as at the time you mentioned, I was in my room asleep" she states shakily

"then how did you get that scratch on your chin" Laura asks writing something down on her notepad

"uhhh.hh, do I need a lawyer?" she states standing up and pacing around

"I don't think so ma'am, they're just questions, answer them" I input

"the scratch happened uhh this morning, uhmmm, one of the waiters at the lounge brushed past me with a tray and it cut me" she said stammering

"was the waiter aware that he had caused damage to you" Laura continued questioning her

"yes, he stopped and apologized"

"did you get the waiter's name?"

"the name on the tag of his uniform was Randy"

"does this piece of clothing belong to you" Laura asked taking out the cloth we found at the balcony

"uhhhh, noo, it doesn't" she said shakily

"thank you very much Audrey, that'll be all for now" I said standing up

Laura does same and I extend my hands for a handshake, she shakes me and her hands feel very cold, she shakes Laura too and we exit her cabin

Immediately we get outside, Laura starts

"boss, I think she's the one, she killed the Ambassador, look how nervous she when I questioned her"she said excitedly

Her excitement is contagious

" Calm down Laura" I say chuckling

" We can't be sure yet, but I think she was not being completely truthful about her being asleep by 2am to 5am because I saw her at the muster station when the MOB alarm went off and she was fully dressed" I said

" See, I said it. We just need to slap em cuffs on her goddamn wrist" she says still excited

" We can't conclude she's guilty yet we still have other suspects we have to interrogate" I say heading to Anthonia Tate's room.

We knock on her door and she answers almost immediately

"Uhm hi, how can I help you" she says probably wondering who we were

" Detective Walker working with the Queen's Coast ship investigating the death of Joradan Wensolton Tate the second. Can we ask you a few questions?" I say flashing my badge

" Okay, come in"

We walk into her cabin and it was well arranged looking like a typical teenager's room. I guess she takes after her mother. She invites us to take a seat which we do

" Alright Miss Tate, we'd like to know where you were at as the period of 2am to 5am today" I say starting the recorder again while Laura continued writing

" I was at the lounge with this guy I met recently, Jace"

" why were you guys there so late"

"We were just talking and hanging out, then I came back to my room by four and slept off.

That's all"

" Do you know where your mother was as at the period"

" I don't know probably in her room, I guess"

"What was your relationship with Mr Tate"

"He was my dad, I thought you already knew that"

"Did your Dad ever harass or assault you"

"No, never he was the best dad you ever ask for" she , her eyes tearing up

"That'll be all for now, thank you very much for your cooperation" I said turning off the recording tape and standing up

We exit her room and head to Gregory's room and knock. We hear loud music inside, he most likely didn't hear the knock because of the loud music. We keep knocking nevertheless. He eventually reduces the volume and opens the door

"Hi, what's up"he said to us panting, swear dripping from his face down to his body

"Detective Walker working with the Queen's Coast ship investigating the death of Ambassador Joradan Wensolton Tate the second. Can we ask you some questions" I said ritualistically flashing my badge

"Uhh now's not really a good time, could you come back later" he said

"We will be brief, just a few questions" I persisted

"Okay better keep to your word" he said stepping out of his room to talk to us in the corridor

" Where were you as at the period of 2am to 5am today"

" I was in my room" he replied simply

"If you guys are trying to investigate what happened to my dad, you should probably give up, it's just karma catching up to his ass for all the terrible things he has done" he said unconcerned

"What do you mean all the terrible things he has done " I ask

"Just forget it, what other questions do you have"

" What was your relationship with your dad like, did he ever harass or assault you"

" He wouldn't dare try it, he can only try that with my mom because she's defenseless" he says in his breath but we hear it

" What did you say?"I ask like I didn't hear him

" Uhh nothing, he can't assault me"

"He can't assault you or he won't assault you"

"Mr. Walker I don't know what you want to hear from me but you better round up I got somethings to do, remember you said you wouldn't take too much of my time"

" One more question. Where was your mother between the range of 2am to 5am today"

"Probably in her room"

"Alright then, thank you that'll be all for now" I say and he goes back inside his cabin

"Well that was intriguing" Laura said

"We can't conclude anything till we talk to the crew members" I say heading to the crew deck.

We walk in to the room and request for the three men that are allowed in the balcony

We only meet two of the men that are allowed on the last floor. We interview them one after the other and all agree that it was Richard Olvera that was on duty around the period of 2am to 5am. We asked if they saw anything suspicious during the period, they all said they didn't. We asked where Richard was and we were directed to the lounge. We head to the lounge and fortunately for us he was on his break. I introduced myself and asked him if we could ask him some questions, he agreed

We sat and Laura started the questioning

"Mr. Olvera can you tell us where you were during the hours of 2am to 5am?" Laura asked him

"I was working on the last floor" he said simply

"Did you notice anything suspicious about the Ambassador or his family" Laura pressed on

"Uhh not really, but the ambassador and his wife got into a fight and the son came to separate them, after that he headed to the balcony and dismissed me"

"Do you know anyone called Randy here" I chipped in

"Sure I do, he's my coworker" he replied

" Could we please see him" Laura said

" Sure let me get him"

He stood up to get Randy and a few minutes later he came back with him

"Hi Mr. Randy we would like to ask you some questions. We won't take much of your time" I said

"okay sure"he said taking a sit

" Do you know anyone called Andrey Tate"I asked him showing him a picture I pulled out of the envelope I was carrying

" Yes I remember her" he said

" Where did you meet her"

" She came in here very early this morning with some man to eat, I served her"

" Could you be specific about the time she came in"

" Around 3-ish"

" Did any kind of accident happen while you served her?"

"No I don't think so, she gave me a good review and asked for my name. She even tipped me"

"do you know the name of the man she worked in with"

" No I don't but I heard her calling him Falcon"

" Thank you very much for your time, that'll be all for now"I said standing up and extending my hand for a handshake

Laura and I walked out of the lounge and headed to the private room. I asked Laura to place a call to Jude to meet us at the private room.

We reach the private room and Laura opens the door with her card, we walk in and find Jude there already

"Any news" he asks us

"A lot" Laura replies and I laugh

"I got news for you too" he said "but you guys go first"

"Alright so we questioned the Ambassador's family members and the three crew members that are allowed on the last floor" I started

" Okay, so what you find out"

" We started with the wife, she gave off a guilty vibe and she had a scar in her chin which she lied about the way she got it. She also claimed to have been asleep during the hours the Ambassador was murdered but I saw her at the muster station by 4am" I said

" About Audrey when I checked the security footage, at around 3:40am she walked into the room of a person named Falcon West and exited by 4:21am" Jude told us

" We heard of that name, apparently she was in the lounge with him around the time of the Ambassador's death. The question is who is that man and what was she doing with him" Laura chipped in

" We have to question him" Jude suggests

" Then the daughter was pretty emotional about her father's death and claims to have been hanging out with some guy named Jace throughout the period of time we asked her". I continued

" Her story checks out, the footages for today morning shows her at the lounge with some boy names Jason Bedford. What did the son say?" Jude says

"The son was rather mad at the dad and said that karma just caught up with him. He didn't even let us in, we questioned him outside. From the information we got from him we found out that the mother has always been physically assaulted by the Ambassador. He looked angry and vengeful" I explained

" Damn could he be the one" Jude said
