Captain's decision
Lami didn't know why she was alive.
Her mother's last words playing in front of her repeatedly.
"You are very weak right now so please eat something. Captain wants to talk to you. The woman who introduced herself as Sheel said to Lami.
She weakly took the soup in a spoon and gulped it down.
"Thank you..." Lami thanked her .
Then she silently continued to eat. Her food consisted of some high quality bread, fruits, mixed vegetable soup and fried fish. Even though her taste buds could test how delicious the food was, Lami never felt it.
After she finished her food, Sheel took away the plate.
"Are you ready now ? I will call our captain."
Sheel asked Lami.
From the decoration of the ship to the clothes that the woman and front of her was wearing, Lami knew that there is a very thin chance of her being rescued by normal sailors or marines. She has visited the exhibition of marine warships and sailed in normal sailor ships to have the basic knowledge of the type of ship she was sailing in.
"Is this a pirate ship ?" Even though, Lami has eaten a full meal, she was mentally exhausted. So she asked weakly.
"Yeah, this is. You are on Silver pearl, the ship of one of the seven war lords of the seas, Boa Hancock. She is our captain." Sheel said proudly.
Lami couldn't react. If not for her mental exhaustion then she would have probably screamed on the top of her lungs. She rememberd if you days before that nightmare, there was an article on the newspaper explaining about the two new war lords. Those were supposed to be the few strongest of the pirates in the grand line, that world government has allied with, to balance the power of the emperors.
But she has never expected that she would be rescued by one of them.
"Yes I am ready." Lami answered. What could happen with her worse than death. Boa Hancock was a woman. So the worst that could happen will be the best thing for Lami.
"Okay, I will inform her now.
And if you want more light in your room then you can open the windows. This room has not connected with any system of light." Sheel told her before leaving the room.
Lami decided that she needed some light. The room was comfortable for a patient who needs rest. But it wasn't the case with her. That's why she opened the sliding windows to find light and sea breeze coming inside. The soothing, sea breeze didn't heal her heart. But it did helper calm down a bit. If the captain of this ship has rescued her, then there must be something she wants from her. But she didn't care anymore.
The room didn't have a clock so Lami didn't know how much time have passed. But after watching the seas for a while she heard another knock before the door opened.
Lami saw the most beautiful woman she has ever seen. Boa Hancock was young. But her body was that of an adult. It could be said that she was the Pinnacle of beauty. Lami felt son of her pain vanished just from looking at her.
She didn't know what her expression was like neither she cared. The newspaper never did justice to Hancock's beauty.
"So can we talk now ? I want to ask some questions to you." Hancock asked Lami. Her soothing voice woke her up from her stupor.
"Uh ! Y-ye-yes."
"Don't be nervous. I just wanted to know a few think from you. I am Boa Hancock, the captain of the boa pirates, and I recently became a war lord."
"Trafalgar D waterLami..." Lami's eyes widened as she blurted out her true name. Her father has warned her many times before to hide her name from others. She didn't know what that 'D' stands for, but even they used to hide it in there official records.
But then she calmed down. It is the point in her life where her life would be over soonar or later. Even if the pirate captain decided to spare her life, then she would die from the disease in a few weeks. At maximum, she has only one and half months time to live.
She saw the expression on Hancock's face. She was really surprised after hearing her name.
"D ?"
"I don't know what's that stands for. But it was supposed to be something that I should hide. But I will die in a few weeks anyway. So I don't care." Lami continued to speak. She didn't know why she was talking so much. But somehow Hancock's presence was very soothing to her heart.
"Hmmm..." Hancock smiled a little. "I don't know what's that stands for either. Except for that some legend says that those who bear the name of the D, at the enemies of the Gods.
But anyway, I wanted to ask you. Are you from Flamvence ?
If yes then I want to know about the truth behind the Amber lead." Hancock asked Lami.

//An hour ago
Hancock sensed the child whom Silver has rescued was finally awake. So she immidiately sent Sheel to get the kid some food.
"Captain, are you sure you want her on board ?
The newspaper said that the Amber lead poisoning can spread through contact. It was so much dangerous that the neighbouring countries had to eradicate the entire town. She is just a survivor. You can't -"
"Gloriosa !" Hancock cut off Gloriosa, mid sentence. Her commanding voice immediately shut her off.
"I thought in your long life as a pirate you would have some better thoughts then that !" Hancock said in a mocking voice.
"Are you so naive, that you truly believe what that newspaper printed ?"
Gloriosa was very shocked after hearing Hancock's words. She was pursuing Hancock not because she believed what newspaper said but because she didn't want the crew to search for the cure of an incurable disease for the sake of a dying brat.
But she new that she can't say that out loud. So for what she has observed, Hancock might not be the kindest person in the world, but she has her morals and her pride. Apart from her simping nature towards Garp's grandson who she hasn't even met yet, she was very prideful. So Gloriosa didn't want to risk angerring her.
"And beside I have some plans for her according to the answers she will give me. If this is truly fate, that the child has survived a genocide and finally met us, then they are must be something special in her. She might be our new future crew mate. And it would be my decision.
Do not question your captain's decision ever !"
Hancock's words were final. It was not a warning but a command.
Gloriosa immediately understood that she is not a captain that she could subtly manipulate.
