Chapter 74 - She Wanted Her Place

"Eliana.." Angela's voice was so soft when she looked at me with pity.

I hated it. With everything I've done in my life, being helpless was never one of my concerns. I could fight for my life and for my family.

I could even betray myself just to see the one I love happy. Though with everything betrayal did hurt, but not like this.

What I felt right now was pure devastation and I felt really small. This was the very first time in my life.

Compared to the woman that stood near Conrad right now, I was nothing.

I watched Stella Ingmire standing gracefully when I had to be hiding in the back of a corner. Even when I knew how Conrad felt towards me, It was not enough. Not even a little bit.

I was so greedy when I watched both of them from far away. I wanted that place.

The place where I could stand confidently, and not be blamed as one of the bitch who took the male form his female.
