Chapter 17: End of another mission

Hinoka looked down at her leg that was now broken. As Ryuzen stood in front of her saying, "Sorry but that was necessary, cause it seems no matter how much I beat you up you won't stop as long as you can move. So I broke your leg. Don't worry I broke it cleanly so it should heal well. I suppose you're not going to join me no matter what I say. That's a pity, I guess I actually have to kill you." with a gentle smile on his face.

Hinoka raised her head with a grin on her face trying to ignore the pain. Ryuzen froze as he looked at her asking, "Why are you so happy."

"Cause in around 30 seconds this whole place is going cablome!" Hinoka exclaimed

Ryuzen stared at her confused before saying, "I can still make it out of here but you can't run so you'd just die."

"Is that so?! You think I'd let you live?! I'm going to kill you Ryuzen! I'm taking you down with me!"

Ryuzen stared at Hinoka as he mumbled, "I can't move?" he suddenly seemed to realize.

Hinoka chuckled as she said, "What do you think of my sealing jutsu? It's my best seal so far."

She snapped her fingers as black chains appeared all over him, "They're invisible so it makes it harder for the person to notice it. I placed it the moment you broke my leg. Unless you're paying extra attention you won't notice it and by that time you had already let down your guard. Do you see, even if you wanted to run you can't!"

"....What is your name?"

She paused before saying, "My name Hinoka Hyuga and I am the person who will kill you."

Ryuzen suddenly started laughing as he said, "Hinoka Hyuga huh? You're crazy!"

Hinoka smiled through the pain as she said, "Thanks."

'Sorry Naruto it seems I may not be able to see you grow stronger, Hinata, Hanabi, Sakura, Ino you better attend my funeral. Sasuke…"

She held the necklace she was wearing as she sat there. 'Sorry Sasuke, it seems I may not make it back alive.'

Suddenly the whole mine blew up as it collapsed killing many people.

Ino was panting as she laid on the ground outside the mine mumbling, "We made it out."

Shikamaru sighed, saying, "Barely." Before turning to Tenten who was covered in cuts and blood and the mysterious person standing beside her as he asked, "So Tenten, who's that?"

Tenten glanced at the woman who was standing next to her that looked like the guards at the mine as she said, "From what she told me she was sent her undercover to gain more information on the mine and was informed if any leaf ninjas came she was to assist them if they were in danger and she did. She helped me to fight of the guards when they became to many."

The woman bowed, greeting them.

Suddenly Ino interrupted as she asked, "Hey, where's Hinoka?"

Shikamaru turned to Ino as he said, "She probably existed through the south. Let's head there and meet up with her."

As they made their way there they were surprised not to find Hinoka. Ino hesitated as she said, "Shikamaru I can feel her chakra, she's under the rocks, she didn't make it out in time."

Shikamaru stared at the collapsed south entrance in shock before saying, "Ino can you pinpoint the exact location Hinoka's chakra is coming from?"

Ino hesitated saying, "...It may not be that accurate but I should be able to."

"That's good enough for now."

As Ino was trying to pinpoint the Hinoka's location the woman turned to Shikamaru saying, "Even if we find her location we can't move the rubble or there's a chance something could move and crush her if she isn't already crushed."

Shikamaru nodded as he said, "I know. But we can't just do nothing, we need to at least know where she is."

"What if we called for backup from the leaf?" Tenten asked.

"I thought of that, but Hinoka may not have that long. She could be alive right now and then end up dying by the time backup arrives."

"I found her!" Ino suddenly exclaimed.

Shikamaru turned his attention to Ino as she said, "She's around there close to the south entrance."

Shikamaru walked up to where Ino had said Hinoka was, deep in thought, 'Does that mean she was about to get out when the mine collapsed? Luckily she's close to the entrance so there's less ruble and it's safer to remove the rocks here than anywhere else, but it's still dangerous."

"Shikamaru! There's another chakra signature next to Hinoka." Ino suddenly exclaimed.

Shikamaru paused before saying, "Ino can you use your mind transfer jutsu on either of the two of them and tell me the situation?"

Ino nodded as she stood in front of the ruble and formed a sign with her hands, she suddenly started falling when Tenten caught her before placing her on the ground gently.

After a few seconds Ino regained consciousness as she said, "Both people are still breathing and are awake, Hinoka's leg is injured but there under a shelter made by I'm guessing an earth style jutsu."

Shikamaru looked surprised before saying, "Then we can move the rocks without worrying if it falls and crushes them."

They all got into action as they moved the rocks one by one still trying to be careful and after a few minutes they cleared everything away as a rock that looked like a tent remained in the area.

Suddenly the rock tent started to move as it blended into the ground revealing two girls.

Hinoka smiled as she said, "Hey guys."

Shikamaru sighed in relief before turning to the person next to Hinoka as he asked, "Hinoka who is that?"

The girl stood up saying, "You don't need to worry about who I am, I was just paying back a favour."

Hinoka turned to the girl as she said, "Aw your leaving already Kanako."

Kanako grinned as she said, "What are you going to miss me?"

"No I'm worried you'll miss me." Hinoka replied with a grin.

Kanako rolled her eyes saying, "Yeah well I have to meet up with my teammates."

Kanako left as Shikamaru turned to Hinoka asking, "And your leg?"

"I broke it in a fight." Hinoka replied with a smile.

16 SECONDS BEFORE THE MINE BLEW UP

As Hinoka was counting the seconds before all the paper bombs activated and blew up, Ryuzen spoke up as he said, "It seems we shall meet again, Hinoka Hyuga."

Before Hinoka could ask what he meant someone suddenly ran up to her as they said, "Hey idiot, what happened to three explosions means this place is going to blow up? Why aren't you moving?"

"As you can see I can't," Hinoka replied, pointing at her leg.

"So I guess this means you need my help." Kanako replied with a smug grin

"I guess it does." Hinoka replied, annoyed.

Kanako picked up Hinoka as she started running towards the exit.

Kanako suddenly stopped running as she placed Hinoka on the floor before doing hand signs as she said, "Earth style mud dome."

A dome made of earth suddenly appeared protecting them as the place suddenly exploded.

After everything settled down Kanako fell to the floor exhausted as she asked, "So how did you even break your leg?"

"That guy that was in front of me broke it."

"So in a way you lost to the guy." Kanako asked, on the verge of laughing.

Hinoka grinned as she said, "It was a tie, but I bet if you fought him you'd be dead."

"I should've left you to die."

"Yet you didn't, I can't blame you, I mean who wouldn't want to save me."

Kanako looked annoyed as she said, "I only saved you to pay back the favor."

"Favor?"

"Yeah you told me this place was going to explode, you could've left me to die, and I'm not heartless."

PRESENT

The woman walked up to Hinoka as she said, "Some first aid should be good enough till we get her back to the village."

Hinoka looked at the woman confused before Shikamaru simply said, "Lord third."

Hinkoka nodded as the woman gave her first aid.
