Chapter 32

Four days ago, precisely at noon, Stacie had shed light on the corrupt practices of the police force, accusing them of unjustly targeting and extorting innocent people through fabricated charges and exorbitant bail fees.

It was a web of manipulation orchestrated by those in power.

Hanna couldn't help but question why nobody had taken action against this injustice, and Stacie offered an insightful response. "They do their jobs well during the day, appearing as angels to the majority of people who appreciate their work without realizing the darkness they harbor at night."

"Like the angel you don't know," Hanna interjected, shocked by the revelation.

Stacie continued, "You may notice that we don't panic as much. It's strange, I know, but we have learned to remain calm, unlike foreigners like you. Don't worry, I'll do whatever you need me to do. I'll help you."
