A Maid Named Bessie and Her Ultimate Revenge
After the death of the Queen Dowager, the palace remained in mourning for several days. There were those who didn't care if the woman had died, but just cared about what she hadn't left behind, and there were those who actually mourned her.
"Your Majesty, Princess Oriana hasn't had anything to eat since last night, and the physicians are trying to get her to take even a drop of water," one of the maids reported to Queen Saline.
The Queen waved them away and continued dressing. "Children are like that sometimes; when she's hungry, she'll leave her room," Saline replied. Finished with her attire, she left her room and made her way straight to the dungeon, where prisoners were held.
"Upon the Mother Queen's request, release all the maids, but send them out of the palace. It's the least I can do for that old hag. So I can feel at ease," she ordered.
