CHAPTER 23

*KANE*

The thoughts of how she's been lying to Rune and I squirm around my mind.

I keep asking myself why she would be doing this. Not only that, but how many other men has she done these kinds of things with?

Should I tell Rune?

I don't think I should.

My thoughts get interrupted by the thunder roaring outside my room's window.

At first, I thought those bruises might have been a coincidence, but when I came back home and sat down and let the thoughts sink in, I concluded that those bruises could not be a coincidence. They look exactly alike.

Or maybe I'm going insane.

I decide to go to her room.

She'd probably be asleep because it's just 4 a.m.

The moment I reach her door, I think about knocking, but the fact that she's been lying to my face this whole time makes me forget about human decency.
