A Letdown

After playing on the boat for half a day, Xie Ning had ridden boats before, but mostly as a means of transportation, usually on passenger boats. She had also taken a government ship with her uncle, but even on a government ship, her uncle's rank only allowed for limited comfort. The ship was probably only half as wide as this luxurious vessel, with narrow cabins and small portholes that barely let in any air. When there was no wind, it was okay, but when the boat rocked unsteadily, even with the sail down, Xie Ning worried that the wind would capsize the vessel.
