Commemoration

After staying in Qingbi Hall for nearly a month, when it was time to leave, Xie Ning couldn't help feeling a bit lost. She had just become familiar with this place, used to seeing the green bamboo outside the window and hearing the sound of leaves rustling in the wind.

So much had happened here, one thing after another - Princess Mingshou's rebellion, the Able Consort's passing, and even the emperor's own birth and the tragic death of his birth mother. Now Xie Ning understood why the emperor didn't like to come to Jinfeng Garden.

To others, this was a summer retreat garden, but to the emperor, it was a place of sadness where he was born, and his mother died. He only came here because of Princess Mingshou, and it was unlikely that he would have the opportunity to come here again in the future.

Although there were many things to pack up, Xie Ning didn't have to do it all herself. She held Princess Yuyao while watching the eldest prince play with his younger brother.
