Dinner

"Haha! It's been a pleasure signing the deal offer with you like this; now that we've met, it's really not anything like the rumours on the internet, haha!" A man in a business suit commented as he stood up to shake David Park's hands. David Park also just nodded with a smile.

"It's been a pleasure from our side too, sir."  David just silently shook his hands back in his office, and with that, after a slight formal bow, the other party left the office, leaving David alone in the office again as the smile on his face immediately twisted to a dark frown.

'Rumours on the internet... Damn fuckers! Tsk! I have to sign deals with greater profits for other sides, but in the long term, that shouldn't be a problem for us, as once I have secured my position, these little deals won't be hindering our work too much, and if Lucas Hyung is right, there won't be any problems with having these deals in the long term; after all, it's all construction; it's endless business...'

David sighed while falling back over his seat as he took the tablet in his hands and started circling and crossing down the documents.

'I have secured all the deals Lucas Hyung told me too, and to be honest, even if these deals aren't as good as what Lucas told me, they are no way a loss to us; we are getting our materials significantly cheaper than market rates... I had to do background checks on a few things myself; my subordinates are damn traitors to my brother's side, hence I had to do it all by myself.

The deal I was previously thinking of closing up was quite rotten; their sources weren't clear, and the quality was also insufficient. On top of that, their contracts said they weren't going to take responsibility for that; these legal team bastards are also all mixed on my brother's side.'

David released a deep sigh as he stood up and commented, "How fucking much had changed in a mere month."

As he said that, he stood up and grabbed his suit, and at the next moment, a little curled-up expression emerged on his face as he muttered, "Well, not like it's going to matter either way; I got a shaman to clear my fortune anyway."

As he said that, David Park opened up his office doors and left while the passing employees gave him little bows. David took out his phone and messaged Lucas.

[I'm leaving for family dinner; my brother and fiance must be arriving at the place; the address is 'Moon Table Hotel']

[Be relaxed; just go there and have a little dinner and move out in an hour.]

Lucas immediately replied and went offline. David saw the message and couldn't help but show that grin on his face while he made his way outside of the enormous building, as there was already a driver ready for escort right in front of the building.

"Get to Moon Table Hotel in an hour," David commanded as he got in the car while picking up the tablet inside. The driver nodded, and the car immediately drove away.

Meanwhile, at Moon Table Hotel, in the hall reserved for VIPs of the day, Alexander Park was seen entering the hall while Emily Lee was already waiting inside, sitting on the table besides the city view.

Alexander Park's face was slightly identical to David's, but he had coloured his hair a bit greyish with a buffed physique. He turned towards her, and a grin emerged on his face as he said, "Emily, you look absolutely stunning tonight."

Emily Lee also turned towards him with a polite smile and said, "Thank you, Alex. You're looking rather dashing yourself." As she complimented her, she handled her brown hair hanging around her neck.

Alexander chuckled as he silently took the seat beside her and commented, "Well, I do try to maintain appearances, especially for an evening like this."

Emily smirked as she saw his body language and said, "Yes, I'm sure you do. So, how have things been on your end lately?"

He released a sigh in response as he replied, "Oh, you know how it is. Dealing with the usual corporate politics and trying to navigate through all the chaos."

"I can only imagine. But you always seem to handle it with such grace and composure." As she complimented, she closed in the distance between her and Alexander; one couldn't tell their relationship by the kind of closeness they had.

Alexander smirked as he commented, "Appearances can be deceiving, my dear. Behind closed doors, it's a different story altogether."

Emily just sniggered, and while leaning back on her seat, she nodded, "I understand. It must be quite challenging, especially with everything going on with your father's health."

Alexander just nodded solemnly as he commented, "Yes, it's been a trying time for all of us. But we're managing as best as we can."

Emily nodded and, with a little frown on her face, questioned, "And what about David? How is he holding up?"

Alexander paused, his expression darkening as he visibly frowned. "David... well, let's just say he's dealing with his own set of challenges."

Emily raised an eyebrow and tried to inquire, "Oh? And what might those be?"

Alexander's expression became cold, sensing her trying to intervene too much into controlling him, and with a cold scoffed, "It's nothing you need to concern yourself with, Emily. Just family matters that we're working through."

Emily didn't change her expression, and with a cold glint in her eyes, she just smiled sweetly. "Of course, Alexander. You know I'm always here for you, no matter what."

Alexander softened his expression. "I appreciate that, Emily. Now, shall we enjoy our dinner and put aside the troubles of the world for a little while?"

Emily also nodded while grabbing Alexander's arms between her cleavages. "Agreed. Let's make the most of this evening."

The face of Alexander turned all red in a moment, visibly looking at his composure as he saw Emily being so close up to him, and as they were getting into a moment, suddenly the doors opened up.

"Oh! You two are already here! Sorry to have kept you waiting," David commented as he suddenly entered the doors with a smile on his face. The two immediately got away before David could notice.

"Haha! Don't worry, brother!" Alexander smiled, hiding his facade, as he saw David, and Emily also stood up, grabbing his arm closely as she smiled. "You indeed got a bit late! We were both talking about you, haha! It's been a while since we had dinner like this."

David just smiled, but his eyes were stone cold as he looked at this cheating bitch. Maintaining that composure, he replied, "Well indeed, it's been a while; so much has been happening in the last few days; everyone must be stressed, so I arranged a dinner! Emily is also going to be part of the family now; did you order something?"

"Oh yeah! We were about to, let's see."

"How about streak~ it's been a while since we had that? Oh wait, David, you liked that soup, right?"

All three, hiding their coldness, just joined the facade of discussing things with a smile, while, unknown to the other two, Lucas was watching it all sitting in the next room all alone with a grin on his face, watching it all through his phone screen with the camera set up from before into the hall they were having dinner in.

"Look at these sons of a bitches, lol~ they joined economy classes in university or drama classes~ haha," he scoffed as he watched the new stories unfold with a grin stuck to his cold beast-like eyes.
