Clash Of Titans

(Third Person POV)

Carter's body slammed into the ground, cratering the earth beneath him as the impact shook the landscape. Dust and debris swirled around him, obscuring his vision, but he could still feel the raw power emanating from his opponent.

Every muscle in his body ached, his head pounded, and blood dripped from his nose. But the pain wasn't new to him. As a Viltrumite, his resilience was unmatched by most beings in the universe, and his telekinetic abilities allowed him to endure even the fiercest blows. But this was different.

Standing before him was Battle Beast, a hulking, feline warrior whose eyes blazed with an insatiable hunger for battle.

His fur bristled with energy, and his muscles coiled like steel beneath his skin. He radiated raw, untamed power that could only have been forged through centuries of relentless combat. And Carter knew he was facing something beyond anything he had ever encountered.

"Is this the best you can do, Viltrumite?" Battle Beast sneered, his voice deep and rumbling like distant thunder. "I expected a challenge. I had heard there was a scout here. I wanted to fight him, not children."

Carter gritted his teeth, wiping the blood from his mouth. He couldn't rely on brute force alone, not against an opponent like this. He needed to be smarter, faster, and more resourceful.

"Don't worry," Carter growled, his eyes narrowing. "I'm just getting started."

Battle Beast roared in response and charged, his massive frame moving with terrifying speed. Carter's mind raced, his telekinetic abilities flaring to life as he reached out with his mind.

With a mere thought, he manipulated the gravity around him, shifting the air pressure to create a powerful shockwave that exploded outward, slowing Battle Beast's advance just enough for Carter to react.

In a blink, Carter vanished, teleporting to a position directly above his opponent. He reappeared with his fist glowing due to the high speed, descending with a thunderous strike aimed at Battle Beast's head.

The blow connected, but Battle Beast merely grinned instead of crumbling under the force, his eyes gleaming with savage glee. The blood under his mouth was simply licked away as battle beast smirked, entirely amused.

Battle Beast's arm shot up with blinding speed, catching Carter by the wrist before he could pull back. With a feral snarl, he swung Carter around like a rag doll, slamming him into the ground with enough force to shatter the earth.

The action caused Carter's arm and a decent amount of his upper torso to crack and be torn due to the pure amount of force.

The impact sent shockwaves rippling through the landscape, but Carter's Viltrumite physiology allowed him to absorb the damage, his bones unbreakable and his will unyielding. Carter could already feel his bones knitting back together, and with each second, his body strengthened, but it was excruciating.

As Battle Beast prepared to deliver another crushing blow, Carter's telekinetic power surged. He focused his mind, gripping Battle Beast with invisible hands, straining to hold the beast in place. It was like holding back a tidal wave, but Carter didn't relent. He twisted his grip with a burst of effort, flinging Battle Beast across the battlefield.

Battle Beast twisted mid-air, landing on his feet with feline grace. He wiped a trickle of blood from his mouth, his grin widening. "Good. I was afraid this would be too easy. I haven't had this much fun in a while."

Carter didn't reply. Instead, he closed his eyes for a brief moment, centering himself. He let his senses expand, feeling the energy of the world around him, the currents of air, the shifting gravity, the pulse of life beneath the ground. His telekinetic powers weren't just about force; they were about control. And he was going to use everything at his disposal.

When he opened his eyes, they blazed with determination. The air around him crackled with energy, and his entire body hummed with power. He moved faster than the eye could see, teleporting in rapid succession, striking from every angle. Carter had already attempted to dissect the man, but every single molecule of the battle beast was as strong as he was.

The sheer speed and ferocity of his assault forced the monstrous warrior onto the defensive, a rarity for someone like him. Soon enough, however, Battle Beast began his counterattack with his and Carter's fists meeting over and over again, causing explosions of pure force, shaking the entire continent they were on.

But Battle Beast was a veteran of countless battles and wasn't easily overwhelmed. He unleashed a devastating counterattack with a roar, his claws slashing through the air with blinding speed.

Carter felt one of the claws graze his side, tearing through his suit and drawing blood, but he didn't flinch. Instead, he harnessed the pain, channeling it into raw power as he met Battle Beast blow for blow.

The ground beneath them shattered, craters forming with each impact as they clashed. Carter's telekinetic abilities allowed him to anticipate Battle Beast's moves, subtly redirecting his strikes and using the terrain to his advantage. He teleported to a nearby mountain, then reached out with his mind, ripping the peak off and hurling it at Battle Beast like a missile.

Battle Beast roared in defiance, smashing through the mountain with a single punch, debris exploding in all directions. But Carter was already behind him before he could recover, his hands glowing with kinetic energy. With a powerful punch, Carter sent Battle Beast flying into the distance, crashing into a ridge miles away.

Carter didn't give him time to recover. He teleported in pursuit, arriving just as Battle Beast pulled himself from the rubble. Before the beast could react, Carter unleashed a concentrated telekinetic blast, driving him deeper into the earth, the ground splitting apart under the force.

But Battle Beast was relentless. With a bellow of rage, he erupted from the ground, his eyes burning with fury. He moved faster than Carter anticipated, closing the distance in an instant.

Carter barely had time to raise his hands before Battle Beast's fist connected with his jaw, sending him rocketing into the sky.

Carter's world spun as he hurtled through the atmosphere, stars flickering in his vision. He managed to halt his ascent, hovering above the planet's surface, his mind reeling from the impact. Battle Beast was powerful, far more than he had imagined. But Carter wasn't about to give up.

Gritting his teeth, Carter focused his energy inward, letting his telekinesis and regeneration knit his wounds and strengthen his resolve. He could feel the limits of his body being pushed, but he also knew that he hadn't tapped into his full potential yet. He couldn't afford to hold back.

With renewed determination, Carter dived back toward the ground, the air around him shimmering with kinetic force. He hit the ground like a meteor, the impact sending shockwaves across the landscape. Battle Beast was waiting, his eyes gleaming with anticipation.

The two warriors clashed once more, their blows echoing like thunder across the battlefield. Carter's Viltrumite speed and strength, combined with his telekinesis and teleportation, allowed him to keep up with Battle Beast's ferocity. But it was a brutal, grinding fight, neither side giving an inch.

At one point, the battle beast managed to chomp out some of Carter's sides, but the damage was undone in a few seconds, with the battle beast growing slightly surprised.

" You're different from the rest. In all of my years wandering the universe, I have never met a being like you. Yes! Yes! Keep fighting!" In response, Carter dodged under one of his strikes and slammed both of his fists into the battle beast's head.

Finally, Carter saw an opening. Summoning every ounce of his strength, he reached out with his telekinesis, seizing control of the gravity around Battle Beast.

The air around them grew heavy and crushing as Carter amplified the gravitational field tenfold. Battle Beast staggered under the weight, his movements slowing.

This was his chance.

With a roar, Carter teleported directly in front of Battle Beast, pouring all his power into a single, earth-shattering punch aimed at the warrior's chest. The blow connected with a resounding crack, and for the first time, Carter saw a flicker of pain cross Battle Beast's face. The force of the punch sent him flying backward, skidding across the ground.

The battlefield was silent for a moment, dust settling over the ruined landscape. Thankfully, they were in another dimension, so the Earth wasn't taking the damage.

Carter stood over a desolate landscape, breathing heavily, his body trembling from the exertion. He knew this fight wasn't over, that Battle Beast would rise again, but for now, he had won a small victory.

But as Carter was taking a breath, he heard a roar emanate from across the continent. And sadly, it was not one of pain but pure and utter excitement.

And in a few moments battle beast was already on top of him. Carter simply looked at the ground, groaning and annoyed as he flew at the Battle Beast.

But this time Battle Beast had pulled out his sword. With Carter doing the same using his tech jacket.

(Hours Earlier)

Mark and the rest of the team hadn't been ready. But that hadn't stopped them from going after Machine Head.

It was supposed to be a routine takedown, a raid on Machine Head's base of operations, with the goal of ending his criminal empire once and for all. But things had gone sideways fast.

Carter had been monitoring the situation from his lab, keeping tabs on Mark's activities. He knew about the tension between Mark and the rest of the team, about the pressure Mark was under to live up to his father's legacy.

When Carter learned that Mark had gone after Machine Head, a knot of dread tightened in his chest. The timeline was off; this wasn't supposed to happen yet.

The team wasn't ready for what they were about to face. They were supposed to form the new guardians of the globe before even attempting to go after the machine head.

He wasted no time teleporting to the scene. He arrived just in time to see the chaotic battle unfold.

Mark, Eve, and the rest of the team had already engaged Machine Head's hired muscle. The battle was intense, with explosions and energy blasts lighting the night sky.

But what caught Carter's attention was the hulking figure that loomed over the battlefield, a monster unlike anything the team had ever faced. Just simply standing there.

Battle Beast.

The sight of him sent a chill down Carter's spine. He knew about Battle Beast and the devastation the creature could unleash. And he knew that Mark and the others were completely out of their depth. This man or being could fight the leader of Viltrum to the death and almost win.

Carter leaped into action, opening portals to flank Machine Head's thugs while using his telekinesis to hurl debris and enemies aside, shielding the team from the worst of the attacks.

He fought alongside them, but his focus was on Battle Beast.  he had yet to move as you were still standing there.

But in that moment of hesitation, he felt a stinging pain from the electro-kinetic Krusk.  The man simply laughed at Carter, but not before changing his tune as he teleported right in front of him and slammed his fist into his face, sending him onto the floor.

The tether tyrant, noticing this, tries to wrap Carter up in various tentacles, but Carter simply grabs the tentacles, pulls the man over to him, and knocks him out.

The only ones left now were the being in the plasma suit and the Magma man.  This one was simpler as Carter reached behind him and, using his tech jacket created a weapon that fires liquid nitrogen. Before they could react, Carter was already on top of them and sprayed the mega man and liquid nitrogen. The man screamed in pain. He was solid.

In a couple of seconds, Carter reached behind him, shoved the gun into the slots between the suit that held the being made of pure plasma and fired it.

The team, who were mostly trying to recover from being burned and electrocuted, and some of them even knocked out, watched as Carter tore them apart.

Mark, however, had a different idea. As he flew towards Battle Beast, he closed his eyes and shook his head as if disappointed. Then, he appeared in front of Mark midflight and slammed his head into the ground over and over again before he found his arms stopped.

Battle Beast then looked to his left and growled before throwing Mark through multiple skyscrapers and looking directly at Carter

"You know, I thought I was going to be disappointed with this world, but now you have my interest. Now entertain me." Battle Beast then made an almost welcoming gesture, and Carter used his telekinesis to throw Battle Beast through a portal and followed right after him.
