The sound of Lim falling to the ground was loud enough to be heard by Miya who was standing on the porch at that time. She thought, "What is that sound? Does he kill someone with his gun? But there's no 'BANG! BANG!' sound. Besides, there's no one in here, and he told me that the gun is fake. So, what is that sound?"
Miya was trembling but she mustered up her courage to investigate the source of that sound. She tried to open the door, but it locked.
In silence, she snuck up to some nearby windows. Thus far, she didn't find any suspicious things. She tiptoed slowly to the patio, trying not to be caught. Just in case, she was in real danger.
It was easy to see through inside the house from the patio because the wall was made of slide doors full of glass.
Miya saw Lim!
He was lying down on the floor. His wheelchair flipped over near him.
Miya panicked, she was knocking on the glass door, "Hei! Hei! Could you hear me?"
Lim tried his best to move his hand, asking for help but he couldn't. He was about to lose his consciousness. Yet he saw how Miya was trying hard to save him before his heart seemed to be too weak to pulse.
Miya knocked on the glass door as hard as she could, "HEY! STAY AWAKE! LISTEN! TRY TO KEEP CONSCIOUS!" Miya tried to open that door, but it locked!
Her hands were shaking. She tried to think about what to do but she couldn't have a clear mind in this state.
"Ah! Emergency call!" Unfortunately, she found out that her cell phone had run out of power. Couldn't think of any other way, she tried to break down the glass door several times with her body. Indeed, her body was not strong enough to break the thick glass. Then she took a very big rock to crush the glass door.
Lim was trying hard to inhale some oxygen, but he could breathe nothing. His heart lost its pulse. Beyond his blurry sight, Lim saw Miya smashing the glass door several times while crying for him to hold on. He thought, "Does she cry for me? Perhaps, this is just a beautiful hallucination I got as the present before I die? Yeah… Afterlife would be less scary if you knew, that at least there is someone crying for you, right? Finally, I could have it, the feeling of being cared for…"
Lim's eyes were closed.
PRAAANNNKK!
Miya broke that glassdoor.
She rushed to check Lim's breath and heart pulse. It stopped!
In a panic, she kneeled to perform the first aid to Lim. She pressed his breastbone several times by using her body weight. "Please come back! Please!" she cried.
She continued doing the CPR for about 15 minutes until Lim's body finally gave a small response. Then she checked his pulse again.
What a relief! Things went back to normal. She was about to give an emergency call when Lim held her hand, "I'm— 'key— now"
"But you need proper treatment, you just lost your consciousness, and your heart was stopped—"
"I'm okay— please— I just need— to rest," Lim closed his eyes. He's still lying on the floor
near the kitchen aisle.
"Whatever… It's your life, anyway… I just need you to open your gate so I can go out of your house—" Miya insisted to go, but she couldn't bear to see Lim's condition. He was lying on the floor, helpless. Some medicines, medical equipment, and boxes were scattered near his upside-down wheelchair.
"Does he have chronic diseases or something?" Miya was staring at Lim compassionately, "No wonder he has the worst level of insecurity. He is sick while he has everything. Poor him…"
She sorted the medicines one by one and arranged them into the container box based on their purpose. "This is for cholesterol, heart failure, lower blood pressure, preventing blood clots."
She smiled upon her memory, "I used to tell a story about a flying car to Grandpa Koko at the nursing home just to make sure he took this kind of pill. I miss him—"
Meanwhile, the more Miya examined the medicine, the more she got confused, "This is for liver, lungs… Prostate? Fungal infections? What kind of sickness does he actually have? Does he take random medicine without a prescription? Oh, he forgets to have his sane pills! This man is just ridiculous!"
She was cleaning up the room when finally, she realized a mess she had created. She cried like a baby seeing the broken glass door. "I'm dead! How much does it cost? It's not the imported glass from Venice, isn't it? How do I get the money to compensate the priceless thing? When the only precious things I have with me are just a pair of healthy kidneys?"
She ruffled her hair, making it even messier while taking a broom, "Argh… I need such a sane pill as well…"
Trying to reduce her burden, she was singing a lullaby in a toneless voice while sweeping the shattered glass, "Whatever will be… Will be… The future's not ours to see… Que sera… Sera… Whatever will be… Will be…"

After the room was clean, the only one that had scattered on the floor was the 'sleeping Lim'. Miya checked his breath and pulse once more, making sure he was good.
"Should I carry him to his room? Owh… Big no-no! I will be literally dead if I do so. Better to carry him to the sofa. But, how to carry him in my arms? Piggyback? Or should I perform my expertise during the elderly-rescue training in the nursing home?"
Miya was cracking her knuckles as if this could make her look like a strong fighter ready for a battle. Sadly to say, instead of getting a strong image, she looked like more of a boxing commentator when trying to rehearse while giving comments about the movements she's about to perform, "Yeah… Back then, I really good at doing the ranger roll! Lingering my arms to his leg! Hop! Rolling! Hop! Hop! And do the fireman carry!"
Whoops… She almost forgot that Lim had a leg fracture. So, the only way to safely carry him
was not a fireman-carry or piggyback-carry, but a princess-carry. So, with all the power she had, she cradled him, like a prince carried a princess in one's arms. Then laying him tenderly on the sofa, as if this is a slow-motion romantic scene in a melodrama.
But the wind that blew strongly through the broken window brought her back from the melodrama scene she created in her own imagination.
Then she run to find whatsoever blanket. She got one, a not-so-dirty blanket from the laundry bag.
Fiuuuhhhh…
Miya was so tired after all of the things that happened that day. She fell asleep on the floor near Lim because she was afraid that she couldn't afford more compensation if she made Lim's expensive sofa turn dirty from her grimy clothes.
Miya was in a deep sleep while Lim had a nightmare about his past...
