Wanting to Hear Her Voice

Old Madam Ye's expression paused slightly as she met the clear gaze of Ann.

She didn't want Ann to know about the complicated entanglements between adults, nor did she want to lie to her.

Old Madam Ye fell silent, and after a few seconds, she replied, "Perhaps, I'm not sure either."

Qin Sui'an didn't press further, but his gaze lingered in the direction of the elevator, seemingly anticipating the arrival of other family members.

Old Madam Ye concealed her emotions, "Let's go inside."

Qin Sui'an immediately redirected her attention from the elevator and tilted her head slightly upwards.

Given her height, she couldn't see the window on the door of the ward.

Qin Sui'an couldn't hide her nervousness; beneath her mask, her small cherry-like mouth unconsciously formed a straight line.

Old Madam Ye seemed to sense her anxiety and gently smiled, soothingly patting her head.

Then, Old Madam Ye took a small step forward, reaching out to twist the doorknob of the room.
