The Connections Between Us

Tristan walked up to Old Mr. Quinn and nodded slightly.

“Mr. Quinn, I should have visited San Heith in advance, but other matters got in the way. I hope you can forgive the delay.”

Old Mr. Quinn twitched his lips, his pleasantries somewhat absent-minded. “Mr. Ford is too kind.”

As he finished speaking, Old Mr. Quinn lowered his eyelids, concealing the emotions in his eyes. He absently stroked the gemstone embedded in the lychee he held in his hand, lost in thought.

At the right moment, the butler stepped forward to pour tea for Tristan.

At this point, Old Mr. Cartman asked, “I wonder, Mr. Ford, have you had the chance to meet the Young Master Cartman?”

Tristan raised his gaze upon hearing the question, looking at Old Mr. Cartman. “Why didn't Jimbo inform you before his sudden business trip, Mr. Cartman?”

Old Mr. Cartman was taken aback. “I see. It must have been a rushed decision.”
