Welcoming New Neighbor

Tristan Ford was truly exhausted. Just as things in Americas had been resolved, he learned that Cynthia Shannon had joined the Louise family's anniversary celebration alone. At that moment, he couldn't care less about anything else; he just wanted to rush back to her side and protect her.

Even though he knew Cynthia wouldn't necessarily suffer, he couldn't help but worry. Cynthia looked at the man lying on the bed, her brows slightly furrowed. Even though he had fallen asleep, his face still showed signs of deep fatigue. She took light steps, gently covering him with a blanket.

As she got up, she gazed at his face for a moment, lightly pursed her lips, and impulsively kissed the corner of his mouth. The fleeting kiss, like a pebble thrown into a calm lake, easily stirred ripples in Tristan's heart. His brows moved slightly, but he resisted the urge to open his eyes. Yet, a faint smile lingered at the corner of his lips, as if responding to an almost imperceptible smile.
