Unaware of One’s Foolish

"Why should I tell you?" Cynthia raised an eyebrow, giving Naomi a seemingly smiling yet not-so-smiling glance.

Naomi choked for a moment, gritting her teeth inwardly. She glanced at Mrs. McNamara, who was sitting in the front row, and deliberately lowered her voice as she spoke through gritted teeth, "Whatever you're planning, I advise you to behave yourself!"

Cynthia lowered her head to look at her phone, lazily lifting her eyes at Naomi's words. "Is Joe the one who sent you to get close to Mrs. McNamara, attempting to secure Mr. McNamara's investment?"

Naomi, hearing this, instantly felt like she was facing a formidable enemy. Her eyes were filled with vigilance as she warned Cynthia, "How did you know?!"

Seeing her alarmed expression, Cynthia didn't hide her disdain as she sneered, "I feel more at ease with you around."

Naomi sensed the contempt in Cynthia's words. Her face suddenly darkened, as if covered with a layer of frost. "Cynthia, what do you mean?"
