Any Technique, Rampant and Unrestrained

In the boiling water room, Cynthia stood in front of the water dispenser. "Did you check the surveillance near the cemetery?"

"Checked," Jacob said. "Couldn't find anything. Since they dared to pry open the tombstone and take Gianna's ashes, it means they were well-prepared. If it weren't for the cemetery staff patrolling at night, the other party might have done it without anyone noticing."

Cynthia had a faint suspicion in her heart. Intuition told her that all of this might be related to the person she encountered at the cemetery that day. Although it was just a suspicion, once suspicion arose, a charge was established. Lost in her thoughts, she didn't notice that the boiling water had overflowed. Water splashed onto Cynthia's leg, and she immediately snapped back to reality, instinctively stepping back.

Jacob quickly approached, turned off the switch, and glanced at the red mark on her leg. Furrowing his brows, he said, "Quick, rinse it off."
