A Slight Unfriendly Smile at the Corner of the Lips

"Tristan!" Jimbo Cartman was the first to stand up. He quickly walked to Tristan's side, a slight curve on his lips, faintly carrying a hint of provocation. The main character had arrived, and he wanted to see how Lorraine, this old witch, would continue to be arrogant!

The others snapped out of their shock, standing up almost simultaneously. Chace Fulton, the head of the Chamber of Commerce, respectfully approached. "Mr. Ford, please."

Upon seeing Tristan, Lorraine's smile on her face subtly froze. Meeting the man's pitch-black eyes, her heart trembled abruptly, as if standing on the edge of a cliff. She dared not lower her head to look at the abyss beneath her feet, afraid that a slight misstep would cause her to fall and shatter into pieces.

Lorraine continuously tightened her grip on the highball glass, revealing no signs on her face. She calmly spoke, "You've always declined the sincere invitations from previous chambers, unexpectedly giving us a pleasant surprise this time."
