"Do you have any proof?" Daniel repeated, the smile on his lips now tinged with a bit of provocation.
Even though Nina knew everything had been orchestrated by him, without evidence, any accusation she made would be pointless. Even if she had evidence in her hands, he had ways to escape legal repercussions.
Nina looked at Daniel, who was smugly confident, and tears slowly filled her eyes. Her hands, resting by her side, clenched into fists.
"Miss Holland, I believe personal matters should be resolved privately, especially when we're all adults. There's no benefit in tearing each other apart publicly." Daniel's voice was calm and indifferent, as though offering kind advice. But on closer inspection, his words were laced with a hidden threat.
His subtle threat only stirred Nina's anger more. "You want evidence? I'll give it to you!" she declared, her voice trembling with emotion.
