Cynthia paid no attention to his words.
Seeing her ignore him, Daniel slammed his hand onto the table and coldly shouted, "Howard Brovloski, I know you're standing outside the door! Considering our many years of acquaintance, I won't make things difficult for you. Now, get my lawyer in here immediately!"
Standing outside, Mr. Brovloski flinched when his name was suddenly called. A sense of guilt quietly crept up his spine.
But he knew well enough that since he had already sided with Cynthia, there was no way he would get entangled with Daniel. In both the workplace and in politics, the one thing you must never do is waver.
Howard was deeply aware of this principle, so he quickly summoned a subordinate, gave a few simple orders, and with his forehead already slick with cold sweat, he practically ran back to his office to hide.
Seeing that there was still no movement outside the door, Daniel's heart sank even further.
