Chapter 14: Nahbi
Ted held dinara's hand lovingly.
He saw a man on a horse approaching the gate of the big winfred estate.
Nahbi.
They stopped and waited for nahbi to reach them.
The horse loud neigh filled the air as it come to an halt.
"Get down!... Ted commanded. I would like to use your horse. What gentleman will you be if you let me and my lady follow you on foot while you ride.
"Curses. Nahbi said in his mind. He knew if had said it outside even in a low whisper Ted will surely hear him.
"I guess an unfair gentleman I would be... He got down from the brown horse.
Ted helped dinara up like a gentleman and he also climbed to join her.
"Pardon me nahbi,we are extremely cold and we need to get home quick. Catch up with us. Farewell.
He let dinara ride the horse while he touched her body romantically.
"You never fail to deliver well. Dinara said.
He smiled.
"I must say that I am an expert in this area.

Nahbi can never raise his voice on Ted or Deirdre or imelda. It would cost him his family.
He betrayed his own people to protect his own family and he cannot ruin that because Ted took his horse and let him walk in the cold. Nahbi has been given the vampires useful information about the aztekinas for years now.
He arrived thirty minutes after them.
The living room had so much space that if you stand on the other end to talk, the person you're talking to will find it difficult to hear.
Nahbi stood at the entrance.
"Come inside nahbi. Do I have to invite you in. You're not a vampire.
"I know, I'm just keeping my etiquette in check.
"What you have to say is it very important as you can see I need to freshen up. I would have loved to join my beloved in the shower. So start talking.
"Or maybe you should pick. If you pick your beloved then I shall save my message and tell it to Imelda".
"It seems you have begin to forget your place. What is this you are saying?"
"I have not forgotten my place. I'm only given you an option.
"You must be out of your mind". Said Ted with his brows arched almost together.
Nahbi noticed his face. This means trouble.
"No,no,no. I'm not here to infuriate you Infact the message I carry will be very beneficial to you.
Ted stood with his arms folded and ready to hear what nahbi has to say".
Mebsuta announced the arrival of a new and a very powerful defender,that will destroy you.
Ted moved his lips with disgust.
"Why did nahbi had to say destroy me, instead of saying can overpower me ". He thought.
"I don't know the level of her power but I can tell that she will be the one to take the vampires down. Her welcoming celebration was grand so she's definitely a great person.

"What do you want now". Ted asked.
"Shall I not partake of what shall become you when the new defender comes.
"Fabulous. A cunning way to say you're with me . He managed a smile. Where is Deidre?"
"You go look for him yourself. I'm not with you. I just don't want to suffer a drastic fate, well I can't die easily".
Imelda was bold because of her brothers blood she mixes in her drink and food.
"What did you say?" Ted asked. He does not trust Imelda when it comes to her safety,she can do absolutely anything. She makes sure nothing is a threat to her living.
"Nahbi ,will you please continue with your speech". She ignored ted's question.
"I was the one talking before you rudely interrupted me. So,you should apologize to me. Ted avoided her gaze.
Imelda rolled her eye balls.
He sighed and continued talking.
"Nahbi,you know one thing I keep doing is to prove you wrong. We have put several defenders down even the slightly tough malchijah.
"This one is special Ted.
"Enough nahbi. Seems like you want to bring her here yourself to destroy us. I have not forgotten that you're from aztekin perhaps this is a chance to show your faithfulness to them. If it is so then just let me kill you,I would not even taste your blood.
Nahbi sighed.
"Don't mind what he says nahbi. I shall protect you,if...if you bring the defender here".
"I cannot bring her here,she is still in her mother's womb...
"Then abduct the mother. Will you not save yourself from ted's drastic claw. I can save your family too.
Nahbi hid his facial expression from them. They both disgust him but he didn't show it.
I wonder where deirdre is?" He thought.
Deirdre is better than this two maniac. Making a deal with Imelda is not different from making a deal with the devil. She can cancel at any time and run up on you.
"Did something bad happen here?"
"Why do you ask? Ted looked straight into his eyes. "Why do you want to know nahbi.
"I'm just concerned about Deirdre. I can't seem to find him anywhere.
"Why..do..you.. concern yourself with what should not be your business. He took his words slowly.
"He is my business. I care about Deirdre because he is not psychotic like the both of you. How shall I abduct a pregnant woman from the castle with countless guards and warriors that will slay me like a chicken. Are you sure you're not Insane Imelda?"
"You seem to want to use your family for sacrifice. One more rude word and your wife will pay with her blood. If you want to keep your family safe,you must obey us. You got that". She spoke extremely loud.
Nahbi swallowed hard.
"What shall I do exactly.
"Are you deaf. You shall abduct the mother of the defender,at any cost... Any cost includes the death of few if they try to stop you. If need be kill everybody. I shall give you a vicious weapon... Come with me dear".
She smiled nicely.
