"Dad!"
Zhouzhou's pupils contracted sharply. She let out a gasp and rushed to catch him as he collapsed.
"Boss!"
Chen Tuo and the others quickly ran over. "What's wrong with him?"
Zhouzhou pressed her fingers to his wrist. His pulse was a mess—chaotic in a way she had never encountered before.
Something's wrong. Seriously wrong.
Without hesitation, she ordered, "We're leaving—now!"
Chen Tuo didn't dare delay. He bent down to carry Ye Lingfeng, but before he could touch him, Zhouzhou had already scooped him up—one arm under his back, the other under his knees—and lifted him.
Ye Lingfeng was tall and broad-shouldered, and Zhouzhou was barely 5'6". The contrast should've been comical.
And that was exactly what the rest of the team saw when they rushed over: their towering Captain Ye, being carried by his petite daughter.
It should've been funny.
But no one laughed.
Because the moment they looked closer, they realized something was off.
