Protecting the Character

Gu Lan estimated that the time was almost up. It was probably close to the "awakening" time. When the dream woke up, everything in this place would disappear.

As an "experienced" person who had gone through three dreams before, Gu Lan had already figured out the rules of the game. Once it was morning, she and Yun Zhe could leave. Even if they pierced the sky to come back in, it would still be the evening of the next day.

Before coming, Gu Lan had asked Xu Huanwen, Yan Xiao, and Yun Zhe if they would also disappear in the dream when it woke up. The answer was that they would disappear as well.

So Xu Huanwen chose to return to his room and sleep day and night. Yan Xiao always kept to himself and was mysteriously elusive, with no one knowing his whereabouts. And Yun Zhe had always lived in his little room, where death and disappearance were all too normal.
