As if walking away like poetry, Wang Pu watched her departing figure in silence for a moment before stepping into the courtyard. "Miss, Wang Pu seeks an audience," he announced.

Xie Wan emerged from the house upon hearing his voice and looked at him, inquiring, "What's the matter?"

With a respectful bow, Wang Pu addressed her, "Your servant has come to ask if the miss has any instructions. Your servant aspires to be of use to the miss, much like a steward, but... your servant has had a few days of idleness."

Xie Wan smiled at his words. "Your eagerness caught me off guard. I had thought that you, at the very least, should rest a few days, considering your injury."

Raising his gaze to her, Wang Pu nodded, adding, "It's just a minor wound, and your servant's sturdy constitution can withstand it."
