Yue Chi’s Memories Recovered

Upon seeing her, Yue Chi stood still for a moment before walking towards her with slow steps.

“Xuanyuan Xue?” he called out.

Chu Jiuning forced a fake smile and nodded, “I didn’t expect Lord to still remember me. It’s me.”

Yue Chi approached the golden cage, his gaze exploring the golden bars, until finally resting upon Chu Jiuning trapped inside.

“I want to ask why Miss Xuanyuan is here?”

Chu Jiuning mustered a stiff smile and replied, “Well… you’ll have to ask your dear brother about that.”

Yue Chi coughed lightly, lowering his head. “I simply wanted to inquire why Miss Xuanyuan was imprisoned here by An’er.”

Chu Jiuning sighed, “It’s a long story, and it’s better left untold. Lord, do you know where King of Sea is now?”

Yue Chi shook his head, his gaze wandering within the hall.

“This is my mother’s chamber. I sensed someone intruding, so I came to take a look.”

Chu Jiuning: I see.
