Chu Jiuning, Long Time No See

Chu Jiuning paused for a moment, suppressing her smile and lowering her head.

“I’m sorry, Linyuan, I spoke without thinking earlier. Please don’t be upset.”

Ju Linyuan’s gaze revealed a hint of pain as he opened his arms. “Can I hug you, Ning’er?”

Chu Jiuning, realizing that her words had hurt him, could only open her arms and gently embrace him.

Ju Linyuan tightly held her in his arms, as if he wanted to merge her into his own body.

The two stood in a silent embrace for a moment.

Chu Jiuning couldn’t help but yawn and looked up at him. “I’m tired, you should go back and rest too.”

“Are you trying to chase me away, Ning’er?” he asked, looking down at the person in his arms.

Chu Jiuning smirked and tugged at the corner of her mouth.

“Otherwise, should we let everyone know that you spent the whole night in my room?”

Ju Linyuan held onto her tightly, reluctant to let go.

“Ning’er, you didn’t lie to me about the one-year deadline, did you?”
