As soon as Jiang Yexun stepped into the yard, Aunt Guo immediately handed him two thermoses.
"The green one has chicken soup, and the yellow one has shredded chicken and egg noodles with meat buns on top."
"Thank you, Mom." Jiang Yexun took them and prepared to head upstairs.
But Aunt Guo grabbed his arm, hesitated for a couple of seconds, and then whispered a reminder, "Take it easy! If I hear about any more nonsense, don't blame me if I give you a beating."
"I wouldn't dare," Jiang Yexun muttered, his face turning red. Aunt Guo knew he was a man of his word, so she finally let him go.
He went upstairs and gently knocked on the door. After a moment, he heard his young wife's muffled voice inviting him in, so he pushed the door open.
