“Please, have a seat.”
The interior of the thatched cottage was as simple as its exterior.
The Dean casually uttered these words as he opened his folding fan and gently swayed it.
Xu Yi obediently took her seat below the Dean, placing her hands neatly on her lap and fixing her gaze straight ahead, appearing remarkably well-behaved.
With a casual glance, the Dean almost burst into laughter.
Xu Yi may have appeared obedient, but she was far from naive.
“Should I address you as Xu Yi or Xu Ancestral Master?” the Dean asked.
Xu Yi’s eyelids twitched, but she quickly relaxed.
It was impossible for anything to escape the Dean’s notice, considering the esteemed position of Kunlun Academy.
She smiled and replied, “Dean, you must be joking. My current identity is that of a disciple of Kunlun Academy. You may simply call me Xu Yi.”
Xu Yi dared not put on airs of being an ancestral master in front of the Dean.
