The Shopkeeper is a Dog Demon

Xia Zhihuai circled around the small flower shop but couldn’t find a fully-grown peach tree.

He looked at Wanwan, who was pouting with her arms crossed, and felt somewhat surprised. He reached out and touched the little tuft of hair standing up on her head, and tidied up the baby leash behind her to prevent her from accidentally tripping over it.

“Sir, do you have peach trees here?”

Xia Zhihuai stuffed the leash into Wanwan’s hat and picked up the little one from the ground, holding her in his arms.

The shopkeeper glanced at Xia Zhihuai.

No demonic aura, and his body wasn’t as healthy as a middle-aged man’s.

Just an ordinary young human, completely unrelated to monsters.

“Yes, in the flower garden. Are you looking to buy?”

Wanwan immediately raised her hand and said with a domineering tone, “The baby wants to buy.”

Xia Zhihuai hugged Wanwan, afraid she might fall, feeling a bit flustered.

The boss glanced at Wanwan and snorted arrogantly, “You’re just a little brat, do you know how to take care of peach trees?”

“There’s no baby in this world who knows how to take care of peach trees better than Wanwan,” Wanwan confidently declared.

“Empty words will make your nose grow longer, you know.”

The boss pinched his nose and pulled it forward, scaring Wanwan into covering her own nose. Her eyes, like black pearls, were filled with resentment as she stared at him.

A demonic being who likes to scare little ones!

A single demonic being without any care for little ones!

Assessment complete.

Listening to their conversation, Xia Zhihuai touched Wanwan’s little head and said to the boss, “Please take us to the flower garden, we’ll choose a peach tree. We’ll also take the potted orange tree at the entrance. We’ll pay for the shipping, so arrange for a delivery.”

The boss sized him up and nodded, “My trees are very spiritual. Take good care of them, and with a little effort, they’ll be easy to raise.”

Xia Zhihuai nodded.

He was too busy with work to take care of them personally, so he needed to find a nanny.

With a nanny, they could take care of Wanwan and help raise the two trees. It shouldn’t be a problem.

The boss asked an employee from the neighboring shop to look after the store. Holding the keys, he rode an electric tricycle with Wanwan and Xia Zhihuai to the flower garden.

The electric tricycle was very agile and commonly seen in the flower market.

Flower farmers often used these small tricycles to transport potted plants. They were environmentally friendly and energy-saving, making things much easier.

The tricycle finally stopped in front of a flower garden.

The entrance of the flower garden was a relatively large moon-shaped gate with a green iron door.

After opening the gate, two dogs with snow-white fur rushed out.

One big and one small, two smiling angels, purebred Samoyeds.

Wanwan secretly glanced at the boss’s head and indeed, their ears were very similar!

The boss seemed to be a dog demon.

But why did these beautiful dogs, when transformed into human form, become such rough-looking middle-aged men?

Could it be that human form seals the beauty of monsters?

Wanwan’s little head couldn’t quite understand for a moment. She leaned against Xia Zhihuai’s embrace, feeling a bit confused and even a little headache.

The differences between different species are indeed quite significant!

Inside the flower garden, there was a small patch of peach trees. Although the variety was limited, each tree grew exceptionally vibrant.

Unfortunately, unlike the small orange tree, neither the peach trees nor the orange tree here had any spiritual energy.

Nevertheless, Wanwan was still happy looking at the lush peach trees and wanted to bring them all back home.

But her brother’s balcony garden was too small to accommodate so many trees.

Xia Zhihuai put Wanwan down and half-squatted, saying, “Go ahead and choose, but we can only pick one.”

“The balcony garden is too small; we can’t plant too many trees.”

Wanwan’s eyes sparkled as she held Xia Zhihuai’s chin, tiptoed, and happily pressed her cheek against his, murmuring affectionately.

Indeed, Xia Xia was the best brother in the world!

“Love you!”

Wanwan suddenly remembered a gesture she learned on the way today. She tightly crossed her two short legs, and placed her chubby little arms on top of her head, and a bright smile bloomed on her face as she made a hasty and sloppy heart shape.

The big smile on the child’s face infected Xia Zhihuai. At that moment, the heaviness and worries in his heart dissipated as his lips curled up.

Xia Zhihuai touched his index finger and thumb together, forming a finger heart gesture towards Wanwan.

“Brother also loves you. Go on, choose your precious peach tree.”

Immediately, Peach Wanwan turned around and ran off, wiggling her little bottom.

Xia Zhihuai stood up with the peach tree, shaking his head helplessly. “Tsk, such an ungrateful little one.”

The owner of the flower shop was surnamed Bai, named Bai Yingchu.

He stared at Xia Zhihuai for a few more glances and noticed that after the young man moved away from the cub, a gloomy figure immediately attached itself to Xia Zhihuai’s shoulder, constantly absorbing his fortune.

Xia Zhihuai felt uncomfortable being stared at for so long, so he touched his face under the mask and politely asked, “Is there something on my face?”

Bai Yingchu shook his head, his expression calm. He raised his hand, patted Xia Zhihuai’s shoulder, and casually tore the unfortunate figure off, throwing it far away.

“Your sister is quite special.”

Upon hearing Bai Yingchu’s praise for Wanwan, Xia Zhihuai immediately felt proud. “Yes, Wanwan is indeed special.”

Bai Yingchu casually asked, “Do you believe in feng shui?”

Xia Zhihuai was taken aback by the sudden change of topic but honestly shook his head, saying, “No?Why?”

Bai Yingchu sighed, “If you have time, you should visit a temple with strong incense.”

After saying that, Bai Yingchu left. Xia Zhihuai was left bewildered.

Why did this shopkeeper suddenly advise him to visit a temple?

Could it be that even the boss thought he had been having a streak of bad luck lately?

That shouldn’t be the case.

He was clearly so handsome.

While Xia Zhihuai was lost in thought, the unfortunate figure that had been thrown away returned to his side, climbing onto his shoulder from behind and wrapping its hands around his neck.

Xia Zhihuai remained unaware, only feeling a bit tired. Suddenly, Wanwan’s excited voice rang out from the flower garden, “Brother, brother!” “I’m coming!”

Xia Zhihuai rubbed the back of his head and immediately ran towards the source of the sound.

Upon reaching there, Xia Zhihuai burst into laughter at the scene before him and asked, “Tao Wanwan, what are you doing?”

Wanwan, like a chubby sloth, hugged the trunk of a peach tree with both hands, with her right leg lifted and resting on top. Her soft little face pressed against the trunk as she happily rubbed against it. “Brother, I want this peach tree, just this one.”

“Are you sure? Don’t you want to look at the others?” Xia Zhihuai asked, half-squatting.

Wanwan wrinkled her little brows and hummed softly, “What’s the use of looking at more? In the end, we can only bring one home.”

Xia Zhihuai pinched her little head as she pouted, lecturing her, “Of course, we can only bring one. We don’t live in the countryside where we can plant trees and flowers everywhere. Even if we plant trees on our balcony at home, we still have to follow the community regulations. If we really bring back so many trees, do you want your brother to be educated in property management? Don’t I have any face?”

“Is face really that important?” Wanwan asked. Xia Zhihuai flicked her forehead lightly.

“Of course, it’s important. I’m a celebrity, you know?”

Of course, she didn’t understand!

Why would a little peach fairy understand these things?
