Blood Handprint on the Glass

When Xia Zhihuai and Wanwan arrived at Building B7 in the Honghui Community, they found that the residential area had been sealed off.

A young Taoist priest in a white linen robe stood at the entrance of the residential area, constantly looking around until he spotted Xia Zhihuai wearing a mask and holding a three or four-year-old girl in his arms. He quickly walked over and greeted them.

“Excuse me, are you Mr. Xia and Miss Tao?” the Taoist priest asked.

Wanwan tugged at Xia Zhihuai’s trousers and looked up at her older brother.

Xia Zhihuai gently placed his hand on her head and nodded politely to the Taoist priest, saying, “Yes, we are.”

“Hello, I am Chang Xi from the Guiyi Temple, a disciple of Master Piao,” the Taoist priest introduced himself.

Xia Zhihuai shook hands with Chang Xi and replied, “Nice to meet you.”
