The vegetable garden was abundant with various vegetables, some of which Wanwan had seen at Grandma Xing’s house in Taohua Village.
She found a small hoe from the corner of the wall and pondered how Grandma Xing usually dug up vegetables.
Squatting by the vegetable patch, she took aim at a crisp and vibrant lettuce. The lush green leaves resembled a blooming green flower. Wanwan approached the base of the lettuce with her small hoe and gently tapped it a few times, causing the lettuce to tilt over. However, a few leaves accidentally snapped off as she did so.
“This vegetable is quite delicate,” Wanwan remarked, picking up the lettuce and placing it in her small basket, addressing her teacher who was carrying a camera.
The camera teacher couldn’t help but suppress a smile, but remained silent, only adjusting the camera angle.
Wanwan initially intended to dig up just one lettuce and be done with it.
