Almost Caught

An Yao opened one of the stone jars and, as expected, found the meat completely rotten—the sour and pungent odor hit her right in the face!

In the end, those two jars of meat didn't escape the fate of being discarded.

An Yao noticed that after Gu Di’er's three-month-long hibernation, he had become quite thin, with visible ribs showing on his chest.

He must have been injured shortly after waking up from hibernation due to the beast tide and didn't have a chance to eat a proper meal.

Fortunately, she had prepared a large basket of food, which might not be enough to fill the belly of this 20-meter-long giant python, but it would at least provide some sustenance.

After Gu Di’er finished eating, he retrieved several crystals from beneath him and handed them to her.

“What's this?”

An Yao looked at the crystals in her palm and was taken aback.

There were five precious yellow-brown beast crystals and an even more dazzling green-blue one!
