“What did you buy?” Huli looked into the basket she was holding.

“Food, roasted meat, and wild vegetable pancakes!” An Yao lifted the basket, which was filled with a variety of food. Steam rose from the food, and its aroma was enticing.

Huli frowned, about to say that the two of them couldn't possibly eat so much food, but he saw her bypass him and run into a small alley.

“What are you running around for?” Despite his tone of disdain and reproach, his legs involuntarily followed her.

In the beast world, whether in cities or tribes, there were always a few starving young beastmen hiding in corners.

They were often emaciated, wearing little to no clothing, surviving on the leftover scraps of food left behind by passing adult beastmen.

This was their daily life—struggling on the streets, sleeping in the open air, and eating whatever leftover meals adult beastmen would leave behind.
