Chapter 14: A new religion

In the wide cave of the village elder, Shuran's mother and siblings welcomed them with great joy. They sat around them, asking about the news of the battle and offering them food and drink.

The village elder sent for Dan's family, and his mother nearly fainted from joy!

No one could sleep, despite the extreme fatigue, perhaps because of it! Congratulations came from the elders of the village to see Dan with their own eyes and make sure he was alive!

No one believed the news of his return after they had all seen him plunge into the abyss of death!

They asked him to tell them what had happened to him since his famous leap that entered the village's history.

He told them with amazement about what he saw in the plains of the wonders of civilization and construction, and how the kind and generous Muslim people of the city had treated him and taken him in after saving him from drowning.

And when Sheikh Arqan asked about the reason, Dan answered: Perhaps because the land is fertile, the people are industrious, and the rulers...

Then Nasash intervened, saying:

That's not all; these people follow a religion other than the mountain's religion. It is a great religion that came to them from the east, called Islam, which calls to one God with no partner.

The prophet who called to it is called Muhammad, and a book descended upon him from the sky called the Quran. Before this religion, they were like the people of the mountains, worshipping idols, ghosts, and fire. But when they embraced Islam, they believed in one God, unifying their faith after division and conflict. They used to kill children, and Islam prohibited them from doing so.
