Upon hearing this, Chen Jiao regarded Jiang Guo with a cautious look. "So, are you here to kick someone when they're down?"

"Rest assured, I'm not as ruthless as you might think," Jiang Guo chuckled lightly. "Regardless of our conflicts, she's already dead, and those grudges died with her. I came here today just to ask if she ever mentioned a particular person to you during her lifetime."

Chen Jiao furrowed her brows, her eyes filled with suspicion as she countered, "Who is this person?"

"Someone you've never seen before. But she mentioned this person to Ms. Chen." Jiang Guo's gaze was fixed on Chen Jiao's face, watching her closely. "Did she?"
