Damn Classes!

He woke up the next morning and discovered that his roommates were out already. He did some light exercise before going to the hall.

On getting there, he discovered that they were divided into different classes depending on their elements and they were given tokens for each elemental class.

Dual elementalists had tokens for two elements, while tri elementalists were given three for their three elements, with some very few given four.

He wasn't given any class token and he was confused as to why. He asked the instructor why he wasn't given a class token and the instructor told him.

"Your case is special. You can go to any classes you prefer, from the inscription class to the array class, and you can also go to any elemental class that you like to broaden your knowledge, but you should be careful because here strength is everything." Logan nodded and thanked the instructor before deciding he was going to go to the fire hall today.

'Seems like I'm special as always' logan thought recalling what someone he couldn't seem to recall usually told him when he was little.

As he entered, he sat at the last seat, while the instructor had already introduced himself and started by teaching them how to harness nature's energy.

"Everyone, sit in a cross-legged position, empty your mind and focus your thoughts on the energy you feel around you. This unique energy would come to you in different colours depending on the element you possess.

"What you're feeling currently through this unique energy is nature's essence, this is an original energy given by nature. Connect that energy to your meridians until you feel it combusting. When you feel it is combusting, keep absorbing until you reach a saturation point. When you reach it, you'll know."

"I see two colors flowing towards me."

"I see three colors flowing towards me."

"Yes students that's because you possess more that one element affinity." the instructor replied.

'I see no element! Instructor what does that mean?' Logan screamed in thought as he laughed mockingly at himself.

"I think I feel something pricking at me," someone said.

"That's good, keep absorbing the essence of nature, it means you'll soon reach a saturation point" the instructor replied as he nodded.

I feel nothing pricking at me!

Many students soon felt a light sting of pain before hearing a popping sound.

"Well done, students. You've now entered the first stage of the elementary realm. As for those of you who haven't yet entered, just try again repeatedly until you get it."

As everyone entered into a meditating position and began to harness the energy, Logan too got into position but he wasn't able to feel anything except for a stinging pain whenever he tried to connect his meridians.

He kept on trying but still had the same results.

'Shit! Is this because I'm from another world? What's the point of staying in this place?'

As he saw others getting it on the first try, he was disappointed in himself.

He soon grew bored of just watching students and decided to go to other classes.

'Maybe the fire class isn't for me… I've always had a thing for water since I loved swimming' Logan smiled wryly

He went to the next class which was the water class with the same results, but he wasn't able to be in tune with nature's energy.

'How are you guys getting this so easily?!' Logan wanted to scream this question at them seeing how difficult it was for him and how easy it was for others but then he recalled that he was an otherworlder.

He soon grew tired of trying and decided to go to the library to research others in the past who were like him, having no affinity with nature's energy.

'Maybe I'm not the first human from another world!'

After an arduous journey, he finally got to the library. He met an old man with grey dep brown mustache and slight wrinkles, he had brown eyes and grey bald hair that started from the middle of his head.

As he inquired of the librarian for book suggestions, the librarian told him, "There's no book like that here because there's never been a case like this in this school before."

Logan was shocked. He thought he wasn't the first.

Seeing the surprised expression on his face, the librarian sighed and said, "But there are also others known as late bloomers, meaning their meridians haven't fully developed, or there might be certain impurities blocking the meridian pathways."

Logan was shocked at first before smiling. 'Maybe I'm a late Bloomer, since I'm an otherworlder, maybe I'll get my affinity late due to the changes in worlds.' he thought to himself.

He decided to read other books and familiarize himself with the school. He told the librarian what he wanted and the librarian directed him to the shelves where they were. After selecting a book, he started reading and was shocked by what he saw…

The description of the book was about the history of the school and its founders. He learned that the school was established by a group of powerful elementalists who wanted to pass on their knowledge and skills to the next generation.

They had discovered a secret location where nature's essence was abundant and pure, and they built the school there. The book also mentioned some of the legendary figures who had graduated from the school and achieved great feats in the world of magic. Logan was fascinated by the stories and wondered if he could ever become like them.

The book also told of inscription and array techniques. He learned that these were methods of using nature's essence to create various effects and functions.

Inscription was the art of writing symbols and patterns on objects or surfaces to imbue them with magic.

Array was the art of arranging objects or materials in a certain way to form a circuit of magic. He also learned that there were different levels of inscription and array, from basic to advanced, and that they required different amounts of skill and energy. Logan was intrigued by the techniques and wondered if he could ever learn them.

He flipped through the pages of the book, looking for more information. He came across a chapter that caught his attention. It was titled "The Origin of the Elements."

He read the first paragraph: It was about the different types of elements and their properties. He learned that there were four main elements: fire, water, earth, and wind. Each element had its characteristics, strengths, and weaknesses.

He also learned that some rare and special elements were derived from the combination of the main elements, such as lightning, ice and so on. Other rare and special elements like light, darkness, space and sound were at the highest grade of rarity.

'Damn I wish I could master some of this elements' Logan could not help but wish.

He continued reading: "The elements are the manifestations of nature's essence, the primal force that pervades the universe. They are the building blocks of all matter and energy, the source of all life and magic. The elements are not static or fixed, but dynamic and fluid. They can change and transform according to the elementalist will. The elements are the expressions of nature's will, they are also known the embodiment of nature's power."

Logan was fascinated by the words. He felt a strange connection to the elements as if they were calling out to him. He continued to read:
