Strange Dream.

"Oh that? it's just students that decide who's stronger base on cultivation level at first, but there is usually a tournament held after about four months of year one to decide the strongest and from there after the tournament you can challenge others above you to increase your rank." Jason answered.

Logan looked around and noticed different cultivators of various elemental backgrounds and he couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and admiration for their talents.

The space mages, sound mages, along with the darkness and light mages, were always prideful because they possessed the rarest of the elements, but they did have the right to be prideful, especially those with more than one rare element.

For example, Gav was one of the top students in the second year and this was because he possessed four elements: lightning, darkness, sound and ice, while also having a purple grade affinity with darkness.

At that moment, Logan felt a tingling sensation, like he had touched upon a truth.

'What's happening to me?'

His body started heating up, and he focused his mind, trying to grasp forward and discover that hidden truth.

He saw some blurry images, it looked like a man, but he wasn't too sure. He heard a voice speak like it was calling out to him, but he couldn't make out what it was saying. he also saw a faint outline of something that looked like a dragon and his mind could not help but wander towards the legends of the elemental dragon he had read about.

"Hey, what's on your mind, buddy?" Jason asked, poking Logan's arm.

Logan snapped out of his thoughts and looked at Jason with a curious glimmer in his eyes.

"Jason, have you ever heard of the Elemental Dragon?" he asked as he slowly withdrew a spoonful of food and munched it down.

Jason's eyes widened with excitement. "Of course, I have! The Elemental Dragon is a legendary being, said to possess the power of all the elements. It's a myth, though, just a story passed down through generations," he explained like a child who had finally seen his favorite toy.

"But what if it's more than just a myth?" Logan pondered as he dropped the spoon placing his hand on his chin.

"What if there's some truth to it? What if the Elemental Dragon is real?" he asked curiosity piqued.

Jason chuckled. "Come on, Logan, you know how legends go. They're just stories created to entertain and inspire. There's no real evidence to support their existence."

Logan's curiosity burned brighter than ever. He couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to the legend than met the eye.

'Guess I'll have to read some more books concerning that elemental dragon' he thought.

At this moment, an announcement was made: "Students, in the next four months, a tournament will be held to decide how your resources will be distributed. Practice hard and do your best to break through more smaller realms before the time. We will also be awarding gifts to the top 20 students." After he finished speaking, the instructor who gave the announcement turned around and left.

"I told you so!" Jason said as he punched Logan lightly.

Over the next few weeks, Logan delved deeper into his research, scouring ancient textbooks to gain more information about the Elemental Dragon.

With each passing day, his conviction grew stronger.

He couldn't ignore the signs and coincidences that seemed to point him in the right direction.

Two months had passed since Logan came to this mysterious world. Every time he had free time, he spent it reading about the Elemental Dragon and also reading to see if there were other otherworlders like him, he hoped he could find a way home.

One evening, as he was reading about the Elemental dragon, he fell asleep and had a strange dream.

He found himself in a vast and dark cavern, filled with glowing crystals and strange runes.

'Where am I?' he wondered.

He felt a powerful presence nearby, watching him with interest. He walked forward, following his intuition, until he reached a large chamber.

There, he saw a magnificent sight: a huge dragon, with scales of different colors. The dragon had a majestic golden crown of horns, a long and graceful golden tail, and a pair of piercing eyes that seemed to see through everything.

The dragon spoke to a man with similar golden hair to his with a voice that echoed in his mind.

"Greetings, young cultivator. I have been waiting for you for a long time. You are the one who has been seeking me, I do not have much time left, the humans have turned their back and decided to betray us" the dragon explained as he spoke to the man with golden hair.

Logan was stunned. He couldn't believe what he was hearing, 'The humans betraying you? Not much time?' He kept on listening.

The dragon smiled, "I am the Elemental Dragon, the embodiment of all the elements. I am the guardian of this world, the keeper of the balance. I am the source of all magic. And you, Indra, are my chosen one. You have a special gift. And only you can master all the elements, to become my successor. You are the one who can inherit my power."

Logan felt a shock in his chest. He couldn't comprehend the meaning of the dragon's words. 'Was this terrifying dragon giving its power to someone? And who is this Indra?'

Indra was silent, many thoughts ran through his mind, he knew he had always sought power but he didn't expect the dragon to want to sacrifice its life and that of its subordinates.

"I will adhere to the will of his majesty," Indra said bowing slightly.

The dragon smiled, proud of his choice. "Very well, Indra. I am glad to hear that. You have made the first step, the most important one. You have accepted your destiny. Now, you have to follow a lonely path. I am sorry to not be there to guide you and help you, But you have to rely on yourself, You can't trust anyone as there are enemies all around, You have to be careful, and brave. You have to be smart, and strong because this battle is not something that a foolish person could hope to handle. You have to be the best version of yourself, Indra."

As the dragon said this he summoned his core and that of his subordinates that represented all the elements.

Looking at the glowing orb that contained a terrifying might, the dragon fused all the orbs and slowly directed it into Indra.

Indra endured the pain, resolve showing in his eyes.

The dragon said in a seemingly tired voice, "Now go, we'll hold off the human as much as we can. When you have enough strength you can come and take revenge for us."

The dragon's words echoed in Logan's mind, as he woke up from his dream. He felt a change in his body, a new power coursing through his veins.
