Otherwise, how could someone like Danzo thrive? The responsibility of protecting the village should fall to those with true ideals and ambition!
"Uchiha... Toshiro... Last time... The melody... Let's play it again... One more time!"
"So this time... My song... Will be... Even more... Perfect... YEAH!"
Just as Toshiro was putting away the scroll and preparing to step out for a stroll around the camp, B burst into his tent without hesitation, belting out an odd rap. At the end, he struck a pose, pointing one finger to the sky and giving a thumbs-up with his other hand.
"..."
Seriously? Who just barges into someone else's tent without even saying hello?
Faced with this level of audacity, Toshiro was left utterly speechless.
Ever since this guy was captured—especially after Kushina personally sealed his chakra—he hasn't shown the slightest sign of being a prisoner. You could spot him wandering around the camp from time to time, without a care in the world.
One night, Toshiro played a song on his flute called The Mohican Man, and B clung to him like glue ever since.
'Why is this guy roaming around again? Doesn't Shikaku care?' Toshiro thought, not even bothering to engage with B.
Instead, his gaze shifted to the three figures trailing behind B, particularly focusing on one—a Nara clan ninja.
"Apologies for the inconvenience," the Nara ninja said.
"... Shikaku-sama stated that the peace talks between both sides should conclude soon. Until then, we don't need to overly restrict his movements. As long as he avoids sensitive areas, he's free to roam the camp."
They were utterly helpless.
Who could have imagined that this Jinchuriki from the Hidden Cloud would turn out to be so extroverted? For the past two days, he'd been sticking close to them, and they had all but given up trying to deal with him. His identity made it even more complicated—he wasn't just the Eight-Tails' host, but also the younger brother of the Raikage. There wasn't much they could do about him.
"Here, this piece isn't exactly suited for your usual rap adaptations," Toshiro said, handing B a musical score after being pestered by him yet again.
"Ha! B-sama... is a genius... I'll arrange it... and when I'm done, it'll blow... your mind!"
Overjoyed, B accepted the score with excitement. Just last night, he'd been drawn in by the soothing sound of Toshiro's flute.
Unexpectedly, when he got closer, he realized it was the very guy who had effortlessly defeated him and the Eight-Tails, now playing the flute under the moonlight.
Listening carefully, B was struck with awe. Instantly, he envisioned collaborating with him, arranging the music into a rap, with himself as the lead. He was convinced it would take the world by storm.
Unfortunately, his proposal was mercilessly rejected.
But he wasn't the type to give up easily. He was determined to win the other over with his passion for music.
"I just hope you don't ruin this piece," Toshiro muttered.
Though he had to admit, B had a talent for rap, this particular piece wasn't suited for his style.
"Rest assured... When I have my... Concert... I'll invite you... YEAH!"
Excited about receiving the music piece he'd been longing for, B didn't stop there. He pulled out a small notebook and handed it to Toshiro.
"???"
"This is my notebook, filled with rap notes I've written myself. I'd like you to evaluate them for me!"
As B made his request, his face turned slightly red, revealing his lack of confidence in the works he had brought.
"This..."
"Please!" B interrupted, bowing formally, his demeanor serious and respectful, unlike his usual carefree attitude.
"Alright, I'll give it a try," Toshiro agreed, realizing that B was genuinely serious this time, even dropping his usual playful tone.
"I don't know much about rap, so I hope you won't be too disappointed," Toshiro said.
It was rare for him to engage in something other than combat, so he wasn't reluctant to chat about music with B. While rap wasn't his area of expertise, he couldn't ignore the vast knowledge he'd accumulated from his previous life. Even though he was new to this world's music scene, he was willing to share what he could.
—
As Toshiro and B discussed music, back in Konoha Village, a white-haired figure stood in the snow, feeling a headache come on.
Naruto had been relatively calm the first day after being told that his mother was just on a "business trip" for a few days. He acted like any ordinary child missing his mother. But by the second day, he was like a wild foal, wreaking havoc across the village.
"What a hassle!" the white-haired figure muttered in frustration.
Kakashi observed the scene unfolding in the snow, where Naruto, in an attempt to protect a little girl, had gotten into a scuffle with a few other children.
With a sigh, he tucked away the small orange notebook he had been reading and started to survey the area with more focus. The Third Hokage had given him specific instructions to keep a close eye on Naruto for any unusual behavior, so Kakashi couldn't afford to be careless.
"Isn't that Hinata Hyuga? from the main branch of the Hyuga clan." he mused quietly, signaling to his subordinates to keep an eye on the situation but not getting too involved himself.
Meanwhile, Naruto, completely oblivious to the watchful eyes, enthusiastically introduced himself. "Hello! My name is Naruto Uzumaki. What's your name? Can we be friends?"
Unlike in the original story, with Kushina's attentive care, Naruto has grown strong and healthy, fully showcasing the advantages of his Uzumaki lineage. He quickly dispatched the "bullies" with a few swift and confident moves.
However, like the original tale, Naruto still carries Kushina's surname. This decision came after a discussion between the Third Hokage and Kushina, with the reasoning that it would be better for Naruto's future. Being known as the Hokage's son would draw too much attention from both civilians and Shinobi, which wouldn't be ideal for his protection.
"...I... My name is... Hinata... Hyuga," Hinata stammered, her voice soft and hesitant.
"It's... nice to be friends with you!" She finally managed, clearly nervous but genuinely pleased.
"...Thank you for chasing them away!" Hinata said softly.
Naruto beamed in response and, without hesitation, reached out to pull her up from the ground. "Ah, no problem!" he said cheerfully, his smile as bright as ever.
"Come on! They're building a snowman over there—let's go join them!" Without waiting for a reply, he took Hinata's hand and started leading her toward a group of children playing in the distance.
"...Is this really okay?" Hinata asked timidly, feeling the warmth of his hand and her heart racing with uncertainty.
"Of course!" Naruto reassured her, sensing her hesitation. "If you're feeling shy, I'll introduce you. It'll be fun!" He flashed her a wide grin, and Hinata's face flushed even redder, her shyness now even more evident.
"...Well!" Hinata whispered.
"Huh? Did you say something?" Naruto, leading the way, thought he heard her but quickly brushed it off as he turned and called out to the group ahead.
"Hey! You guys! My snowman is gonna be the best in Konoha! Want to join in?" He shouted confidently.
"Who's this guy?" One of the kids mumbled, clearly unimpressed.
"No idea, but... I already feel like hitting him," another muttered mischievously as he bent down, packed a snowball, and hurled it toward Naruto and Hinata.
"Look at my snowball jutsu!" he taunted.
"Hey, that's a cheap shot! Hinata, let's fight back!" Naruto declared with a grin, ready for retaliation.
