The story follows Li Chen, a 23-year-old college student who tragically dies after being hit by a truck on the last day of college.

However, he finds himself reincarnated in a fantastical world where he takes on the identity of another Li Chen, a 23-year-old from the Li clan who was seen as worthless for lacking a system. 

Through a twist of fate, he gains a late summoning and acquires a system spirit, unlocking a dormant power within him known as the divine cooking system. 

With this new system, he sets off on a journey that initially seems simple but gradually reveals itself to be a daunting responsibility that he must bear.

Hearing Fluffy's words, a shiver ran down Li Chen's spine. He had thought he had grasped the danger level, but it seemed to be more than he could have imagined.

"But why would anyone want to open such a portal, even knowing the dangers it brings?" Li Chen couldn't help but wonder.

Humans were greedy and willing to go to any lengths to obtain what they desire, even if it meant harming others. Yet, they also understood the value of life and would not waste their own for their greed. So, why would anyone choose to open a portal that would unleash wraiths capable of destroying them?

"You humans always believe yourselves to be smart, but with a little bait of treasure, you all seem to lose every single thing that makes you people smart," Fluffy said, his voice filled with disdain and hatred for humankind.

Although Li Chen noticed this, he chose not to dwell on it at the moment, as he was still reeling from what Fluffy had told him.
