The story follows Li Chen, a 23-year-old college student who tragically dies after being hit by a truck on the last day of college.

However, he finds himself reincarnated in a fantastical world where he takes on the identity of another Li Chen, a 23-year-old from the Li clan who was seen as worthless for lacking a system. 

Through a twist of fate, he gains a late summoning and acquires a system spirit, unlocking a dormant power within him known as the divine cooking system. 

With this new system, he sets off on a journey that initially seems simple but gradually reveals itself to be a daunting responsibility that he must bear.

As the figure obstructing his path came into view, Li Chen's gaze met that of his brother, Li Ming. A mocking smile adorned Li Ming's face, and behind him stood five other clan disciples, whom Li Chen recognized as Li Ming's loyal followers.

Li Chen had no desire for idle conversation and attempted to bypass Li Ming. However, Li Ming swiftly blocked his path.

"What's the meaning of this, Li Ming?" Li Chen inquired.

"Oh, nothing," Li Ming replied with a taunting grin. "Just checking to see if our wager still stands," he added.

"Are you already frightened?" Li Chen asked with a hint of amusement.

"What?" Li Ming exclaimed, bursting into laughter, along with his five lackeys.
