Miya let out a relieved laugh, her heart swelling with joy. "Thank you for forgiving me," she said, gently taking Ginah's hand in hers. "Since we both love each other, can we start dating? Will you be my girlfriend?"
Ginah smiled, but instead of giving a straightforward yes, she tilted her head playfully. "Let's start over," she said. "If you really want to be with me, you have to win me over first."
Miya's face fell for a brief second before she quickly recovered, her determination kicking in. "Okay," she said, her eyes burning with resolve. "I will do whatever it takes to make you fall in love with me again."
Ginah chuckled. "We'll see."
And so, Miya set out on her mission.
She went out of her way to make Ginah smile. She would bring her favorite snacks to school, walk her home every evening, and find small excuses to hold her hand. She planned cute outings—coffee dates, late-night ice cream runs, and surprise visits to Ginah's favorite bookstore.
At first, Ginah played along, pretending to be unimpressed. But the truth was, she couldn't resist Miya's persistent charm. The way Miya's eyes lit up when she saw her, the way she always made sure Ginah was comfortable and happy—it was impossible not to fall for her all over again.
One evening, Miya invited Ginah over to her condo, claiming she had a special surprise. Ginah arrived to find a beautifully set dinner table, candles flickering softly. Miya had cooked a delicious meal, carefully plated with love.
"Wow, you really went all out," Ginah said, raising an eyebrow.
Miya grinned, pulling out a chair for her. "Nothing but the best for you."
As they enjoyed their meal, laughing and reminiscing, the door suddenly swung open. Miya's friends barged in, filling the room with energy and excitement.
"Party time!" one of them shouted.
Ginah was about to protest, but Miya just laughed. "I may or may not have planned this," she admitted.
They spent the night playing games, sharing stories, and enjoying each other's company. Ginah, who was usually reserved, found herself swept up in the warmth of it all.
Then came the game of "Truth or Dare."
When it was Ginah's turn, one of Miya's friends smirked. "I dare you to kiss Miya!"
The room erupted in cheers. "Kiss her! Kiss her! Kiss her!"
Ginah's face turned red. "W-What?!"
Miya leaned in closer, her eyes twinkling. "It's just a game," she teased.
Ginah hesitated for a second, then, before she could talk herself out of it, Miya closed the gap between them. Their lips met in a soft, tender kiss. The world around them seemed to fade as Ginah melted into Miya's embrace.
When they finally pulled away, the room had gone silent. Then, a loud cheer broke out, followed by applause.
Miya grinned at Ginah. "So? Do I pass your test? Can you be my girlfriend now?"
Ginah rolled her eyes but couldn't hide her smile. "I thought you'd never ask."
Miya beamed and pulled Ginah into a tight hug. "I love you," she whispered.
"I love you too," Ginah admitted, resting her head on Miya's shoulder.

A New Beginning
From that day on, their relationship flourished. Ginah moved into Miya's dorm, and they began sharing their lives in ways they never had before.
They woke up next to each other, cooked breakfast together, and spent their evenings wrapped up in each other's arms. They studied side by side, explored the city, and made countless memories.
Months passed, and Miya graduated from university, marking the start of a new chapter in her life. Ginah was there, cheering the loudest at the ceremony, proud beyond words.
"You did it!" Ginah beamed, throwing her arms around Miya.
"And soon, you'll be graduating too," Miya said, squeezing her tightly. "We'll take on the world together."
And they did.
Ginah graduated the following year, and they both found jobs in the same city. Their days were busy, filled with work and responsibilities, but no matter how hectic life got, they always found time for each other.
They traveled, tried new foods, adopted a cat together, and filled their apartment with love and laughter.
There were challenges, of course—long work hours, disagreements, and the occasional bout of jealousy—but they always found their way back to each other.
One evening, as they sat on their couch, fingers intertwined, Miya turned to Ginah with a thoughtful expression.
"Can you believe how far we've come?" she mused. "From high school heartbreak to this?"
Ginah smiled, squeezing Miya's hand. "I wouldn't change a thing," she said. "Everything that happened led us here."
Miya kissed her softly, whispering, "Forever?"
Ginah nodded. "Forever."
As they sat there, wrapped in each other's warmth, they knew that their love had conquered all.
And no matter what the future held, they would always have each other.
Their love, tested by time and circumstance, had proven to be unbreakable.
And that was more than enough.
